He was awesome at the end with his coverage. It was great. If he houses that pass, LSU wins by double digits - unthinkable considering how it started out.

I thought he was going to play on both sides of the ball this year and do punt returns. Now I see why. Brick hands Hell of a game for LSU defense in the second half.

Why is it so hard for some DBs to catch a ball. Gloves alone should almost work. They've been catching balls since a little kid in their yard or in the street. Drives me nuts when they can't catch a simple pass.

Heard somewhere post game that, the team had a total of 11 passes knocked down.

Eleven.

Donte was an assassin, and he had the quote post-game to punctuate.

If he picked that pass off and ran it back, the stadium might have actually collapsed

I hate to single just one guy out because the entire defense stood on its head. But yes, Jackson looked amazing.

almost unheard of.

And the DL should get some credit with that stat too. DBs aren't going to maintain that level of coverage (where you can actually get mits on the ball) without the DL doing a good job.

Absolutely. DL deserves plenty credit, too.

The front 7 did great in the second half against a very impressive RB yesterday.

That said, the one play that stood out to me was on that last AU possesion when their QB had all day and ended up scrambling to his right to buy time but noone was open for a solid 7 seconds. Thats some very impressive coverage.
