Not sure on Ali Gaye, I think he should return and put another good season on tape. He’s probably a late round pick this year and could be a 2nd day guy in 2022

Ed Ingram is probably gone. He’s good enough and I’m not sure what he has left to prove

Idk about that. Ingram isn’t going to get a high draft grade and will likely go undrafted this year. He could use another year to try and move up the board.

If either goes, it’s a terrible business decision on their part.

Not homerism but they should both return. Ingram struggled in pass protection at times. Gaye is a stud athlete but not much on film.

However, both would be impressive at the combine athletically so I say its 50/50 they return. Both are probably late round draftable based on measurables alone.

Didn't Cox indicate in his post game interview that he and the rest of the defense needed an offseason/Spring Practice, with Pelini, to reach their potential.

I really hope Jabrill Cox comes back. We need him another year until we solidify our LB corps.

Mel Kiper’s 5th ranked guard is likely to go undrafted? That’s interesting.

Only way Ed Ingram goes undrafted is if he kills a hooker between now and April 2021

as much as I hate it, according to our tradition, if they have even a snowballs chance of making the practice squad for the worst team in the NFL, they are gone.

I know this isn’t exactly a full proof way of doing things, but Kiper has Ingram as his #6 guard in this draft. Last season the #6 guard was picked in the 4th round, pick #116. The season before the #6 guard was picked 4th round, #114. Year before that 6th round, #183. Based on that admittedly silly way of looking at it, Ed Ingram is the exact kind of guy this program needs to start getting back. Enough of guys like Saadiq Charles leaving early to be a 4th rounder, or even worse Will Clapp as a 7th rounder or Thad Moss not even getting drafted.

Ali Gaye did not make Kipers top 10 at DE.

Couple other guys:
Tory Carter #6 FB
Ja’Marr Chase #2 WR
Terrace Marshall #5 WR
Tyler Shelvin #6 DT
Jabril Cox #4 ILB
Kary Vincent #8 CB
ZVR #4 K/P

If Ali Gaye stays he can be a top 15 pick next year. He just needs to polish it up and he can be a beast. He likely goes day 2 or 3 this year. Keeping him is a must.

Both could be first round picks with another year. Neither would go before round 4 now and potentially be undrafted.

LSU has to start getting guys like these two to stay. They aren’t even top 4 round draft picks and we are talking about them leaving early. It’s ridiculous. If everybody stayed a little longer, the whole team would be better and everybody’s draft stock would improve by default.

Both should stay
Ingram should learn from Charles, Vidal Alexander and others who left early and didn’t make it
