Ok explain to me why this was the right move....cause it sure doesn't feel like it. Im fricking tired of our coach being a slave to the line up he drew up a few days ago...go with the hot hand and just win the fricking game

because it's a long season. The same people bitching about pitchers having arm issues also seem to complain about not extending pitchers in February

This is on the coach.

You don’t take a hot pitcher out after one inning.

I am trying to understand why Vietmeiir was taken out of the game?

I’ll explain it to you, but you still won’t understand it. Mainieri doesn’t go all out to win games early in the season. Like any great college coach, he wants to develop the team for the first third of the season. That means not doing the percentage thing in every circumstance.

Nothing about the way CPM manages these games says that winning is the #1 goal.

Its the first weekend. No one gives a shite about winning in February. We're trying to develop a team to win when it matters

One day y'all will realize Mainieri doesn't coach early season and midweek games with winning in mind. He's trying to develop players by putting them in different spots and seeing who comes through.

LSU loses games they shouldn't because of that but it is what it is.

Losing in February and mid week screws us every year but some people won’t realize that.

You play to win the game. Period.

Every off speed pitch he threw was a ball...so full count with bases loaded, naturally we throw off speed and walk them.

Don’t we have an all American closer? Why didn’t he get the ball?
