It's not uncommon for players at any level to break rules.
Whether and how the coach hands out punishment determines their credibility and not whether or not the team breaks/curfew rules during the season.
All of the players should have been in their rooms, but I have yet to hear of any type of severe punishment handed down by any coach due to a curfew violation alone that took place before the season started and on a off day.
The idea that if your team breaks curfew, it's doomed to not being able to compete for a NC is pure conjecture and wild conjecture at that. imo

I attended lsu, been in fights, had friends in fights. this is the usual action taken by the cops when they arent on the scene when it happens. I was responding to ur response on the, people used to just receive a ticket. I dont know whats going to happen, i just know what has happened in the past when i was living in baton rouge. Im just trying to be in the middle of 2 extremes.

My whole view is somethings dont need to be punished severely.
But i also know that breaking up a fight is also putting ur self in danger, same with starting one.
I started thinking about fights that happen in college football games or even in hockey. Do these players get arrested? Even if someone gets in more licks than the other?
What about that miami game that involved d bowe and miami players? werent helmets swung? something that his considered a weapon? I dont recall anyone getting arrested.
What about mlb games? Yall remember that red sox game when pedro slung that old man to the ground? was he arrested?

When you don't know the extent of the fight, you can't even begin to guess what the end result will be. You guys keep saying simple bar fight, when nothing has suggested it was or wasn't one. It's a pretty simple concept that seems to go way over the heads of some posters here.

I have added plenty to the discussion other than just attacking other posters. I can't say the same for you.
I never said it had any bearing on the story; I am talking about the way people are posting. There is a difference.
And you mentioned the word hypocrite, those that were saying JJ should be kicked off the team for breaking curfew just because he is the QB are full of shite. Now if he did everything that was first reported, yes. I guarantee if this was Mett those same people would not be saying such stupid remarks.

I never said simple bar fight. I said the guy is kind of rt. If it was a simple bar fight then nothing should come of this. If 30 members of the football team went out gang banging, that was the first threads to pop up on here, then we have a problem.

The only evidence I have seen was a picture of the marine "hero" and he definitely lost but it did not appear to be of the magnitude that his friends were saying. I have no idea about the guy that was pulled out of his truck.

Mett was found guilty of his crimes. At this point, we dont know for sure if JJ even committed one. The only thing we know is players broke curfew. Which isnt a big deal.
I bet a lot on here have high school kids that break curfew. You should kick them out of ur house.
