supposed to be Orgeron’s strength.

Les was great with the parents. Orgeron is not a good closer as HC.

I can respect that opinion. I think the total body of work as a head coach means something here because of the similarities in what he's done at both schools

Well he never went 9-4 at Ole Miss... So thers that............

I was speaking more to the coaching hires and management style. We'll see how it plays out this season.

I have seen

Have you seen a major SEC football power hire a coach who in his only other HC job produced the very most miserable record in that schools 125 year football history?

O had done nothing before his hire to show that he deserved the LSU job and he has done nothing since his hire to prove he deserved the hire.

Our recruiting this year was ranked lower than at anytime in the past decade.

Fine, then stop bringing up his recruiting awards and national championships as a DL coach from even longer ago. That all happened at other schools.

It's stupid reasoning for stupid people.

You are helping make my point ranter. Hating a coach with a winning record for something that happened in ancient history is STUPID.

Listing a coach's accomplishments in the context of a conversation/argument is just that.

You are now living proof of that. Thanks for your help.

Your analysis looks a lot like Yaw Yaw’s coach spin. So you are saying:

1. he botched the most important hire of his first year.
2. The offense was too complicated? I thought o was simplifying? Also, when did losses to MsU and Troy along with moral victories count for anything?
3. So the recruiting wasn’t good when you take transfers out?

So is listing his failures. But you think that's stupid.

Oh wait, no you don't. You have Tom Herman's record from 2016 memorized.

O never wanted Canada and his bull shite offense. He had to go out and make a hire and put his first choice of OC SE ON HOLD. THATS A FACT. Now everyone in place we roll some heads next year. Nega tigers deal with it!!

THATS A FACT.

If it's a fact that O never wanted Canada's "bullshite offense" as you say, then why did he hire him and pay him $1.5M. On top of that, why continually praise him and the offense all during the off season?

IF what you say is fact, then O really is in over his head. For the record, I don't believe this shite for one second.

He was told to hire outside of program. He did. When Canada became a liability which he did, real soon. He could hire his guy. This is such a big deal you will see big differences in OB schemes and big time offensive production in passing game.

Ok. Let's say that he was told to hire outside of the program. There are other candidates that run the kind of offense he wants to run. Canada had a history of not being in one place long, which is something for O to look into.

But, to say that he hired a guy he didn't even want and then pay him $1.5M is absolutely ludicrous, either by him or by whoever is saying it. $1.5M was either the highest paid or one of the top salaries for an OC last year. Why pay that kind of money to a coach you don't want? What kind of sense does that make to anyone?

It all sounds good and that's better than having a negative spin on things, but talking is the easy part. No one on this board has no idea how the season will go next year. The people who don't like coach O will look at this in a negative light, those who support him will feel good about this, but this season will show us what we really have in terms of a head coach, what direction the program is going in, etc.

Love him or hate him, the one thing about Les Miles' teams was that whether it was a rebuilding year or whatever.. His teams always had a chance to win no matter who they were taking the field against. Yes, Bama beat us what? 6 games in a row when Miles left? But we still went into that game knowing that we had a chance. We were not just going to give Alabama the W; it was going to be a dog fight.

Every year we were in the national championship discussion. We are not that program right now, but all the talk is great, but it all has to happen first, before getting too excited about it.
