After listening to Narcisse, I can’t see how anyone could fault O

Narcisse said, “Coach O treated me like one of his own kids. He supported me, and he will still support me.”

He promised Narcisse playing time, and he treated him well. Not sure what else he could have done to keep the kid.

You can criticize O for a lot of things, but he handled this pretty well imo. Sometimes a kid does his own thing no matter what. I wish Narcisse the best.

It makes you wish we had signed a QB in the last recruiting class

Here’s a crazy idea - maybe neither of them deserve any “blame”?

Are people really saying that O handled Narcisse poorly?

I done think he handled the situation poorly, I think his biggest mistake was not signing a QB in last year's class.

We did. His name is Joe Burrow. He will be our starter.

He's a junior. Ideally, you have a TF QB on the roster this year to compete with Brennan after Burrow leaves.

I am glad to hear LN say this.
I will admit that I suspected O handled this poorly, in part because I do not think he is a good manager.

The only thing he could have done to make sure he stayed was name him the starter. He didn’t and sounds like he was honest with everyone involved and they made their decisions accordingly.

There is some criticism that can be thrown around about what was done prior to Burrow transferring, specifically not signing a qb on signing day, but the way he has handled the situation since the start of fall camp seems right.

We already have 2 commitments for the next 2 years. We brought in a couple of dang good walk on’s. Seems like they are trying to turn this thing around, but it will take time to turn a decade-long culture of bad QB development.

Fact of the matter is LN might see writing on the wall and wants to be full time starter. If he thinks he can excel elsewhere, more power to him

As far as the "freak out, Sky Screamin" mentality of most posters here, reminds me of Dems/Liberals and Never Trumpers with anti trump syndrome. Nothing but doom and gloom!

we did sign a qb. joe burrow

apparently he was/is better than the other qbs on the roster. It sucks narcisse is leaving...LSU stuck by the kid after surgeries on both knees and offered him the oppurtunity to run some special plays this year. he's only a RS freshman. I don't agree with the decision to leave THIS year, but best of luck to the kid. Reality is he wouldn't start on most SEC teams this year.

Or we can get another transfer to come in for 2 years. Maybe one of Georgia's multiple stud QB. This isn't as big a deal as it used to be. QBs jump around all the time now.

How else can I justify my unrealistic outrage?

We should've offered Cord Sandberg a scholarship instead of PWO.

Auburn did. LSU didn't. AU smart. LSU not. LSU snoozed and losed.

Robinson not that good a RC. Emery says hi. too.

Burrow kind of makes up for that.

This year, sure. Down the road we will have a hole in our QB depth chart.
