After a big run we always go back to the same back with another run

Too predictable

I notice we do something similar with pass completions
Once we complete a good pass, we let the same person throw the ball again soon after
Why arent we changing out the quarterback every play so they dont know what to expect?

Thanks for letting all the other teams know

I think the much more predictable troubling thing is any time we get in a 2nd or 3rd and short situation we go hurry up and run the exact same running play, Vandy blew us up on one of those on a 3rd/short because they simply brought more players than we could block.
Should probably put in at least a run or pass play on those, if teams want to blitz 7-8 guys thinking run on 2nd/3rd and short, check out to the pass play.

That's because when you HUNH, you prevent substitutions and when you catch a team that is susceptible to a run, you can often continue to capitalize.
But, anyone who watched last year's team knows that your statement isn't true.

It is and almost the same thing anytime we go hurry up. Not many complaints about the play calling for me so far but the predictability of our hurry up is concerning. And though it's only been once, never try the qb sneak with Myles again. He doesn't have the leg drive nor mentality to convert unless the defense completely whiffs.

do that twice in the first half, then in the 3rd qtr you set up for it, run a screen when they over pursue, chunk play.
Steve's a good playcaller. not happy about Linehan.

Yeah we need a Taysom Hill that comes in and runs the ball every time he lines up at QB so the defense won't know what we are doing.

I’m not opposed to keep feeding the ball to a running back that has the hot hand especially when he’s ripping off good runs like Emory was doing the other night. There is something to be said for allowing an offense to try and get into a rhythm.

Yeah he was WAY to timid on that sneak. I hate constantly comparing him to Burrow but BDJ would have stepped on defenders throats to get that yard.

Exactly

And, if they didn’t, you’d bitch that they weren't feeding the hot back

That's called the Les Miles syndrome. We can't seem to escape this hex.

It's early on in the season... A good coach does things last establish predictability, then when he gets a feel that teams may be gaining a read on his predictability you break tendencies and gash them for a big play. To be unpredictable you first have establish tendencies.

Do we have the dumbest fan base?

We do the same for passing.
Fact is, if we have the advantage we press it. And if they try to adjust, say for example dropping that safety down because they are sure we're going to run again, then we pass. If S stays back, we run again.
We're not being predictable. We're allowing them to dictate what we're going to run. Unfortunately for the opposition they are being forced to "dictate" the most disadvantageous (to them) play call.
