Discusses his decision to come to LSU and briefly touches on when he will be eligible to suit up. Interestingly the article also says Josh Leblanc is expected to sit the 2020 season. Are they saying he will miss all of next season or just the first half?

All this eligibility talk will be moot soon. Expect the one-time transfer waiver to pass by summer.

And from what I’ve read, they will likely grandfather in current transfers.

I doubt the writer knows what he's talking about.

Josh LeBlanc comes eligible in December. The 247 guys think Shareef is getting a waiver and might be able to play right away.

Yea I know the NCAA is stiff but it would be a really shite look to give Shareef more time to sit out

Technically the 2020 season would mean he sits the OOC part of the schedule and is eligible in 2021. I’m aware it’s poor wording on the writer’s part, but LeBlanc will be eligible in SEC play which is 2021

Leblanc actually has a decent shot of getting cleared based on the reason for his dismissal.
O'Neal probably as well with his health issues.

It's all moot if they move forward with the one time transfer rule.
