LSU has been coasting off the 2007 title for years now. 2011 was an anomaly.

LSU made the wrong hire at AD awhile ago and the negative ripple effects of that decision are finally starting to come crashing down. We have been skating off of Emmert, Saban, Miles for almost 15 years. Just took a retarded shrimp boat captain for it to all come crashing down

A&M is only doing this because they have an alumni base awash with money and they aren't shy about spending it.

All the money in the world will not GUARANTEE winning seasons....it sounds like their AD (ex LSU) is doing all he can to cover his back.
Only time will tell. Jimbo would have likely been let go next year ... look at FSU once Jameis left.
