Our team didn't quit the entire A&M game, especially the defense. It could have been easy for them to just give up when nothing was going their way but they fought the entire game. Only gave up one offensive TD (The one play Clark was in they ran right at him) and wasn't really out of the game until late when the freshman qb made a freshman mistake with the pick six. Though a lot of the upperclassmen have quit on the team, the younger guys look to have some fight that will hopefully bring success in the future.

Truth.
Our guys played their guts out. They gave a good showing of themselves.
If we can hold it together the future is bright.

Many of our best players have been on the younger side, or at the very least unproven thus far. Gaye, Ojulari, Ricks, Brennan, and Gilbert have all been some of our better players this season, despite not contributing to last years' team. Even Finley/Johnson have been really good at times. Marshall was very good of course, and Stingley has been hurt, but it really seems like the few players that were actual contributors on last years team (Stevens, Clark, and Several O-lineman) have all kinda mailed it in

the Defense was awesome, and played very tough. I feel bad for Clark but he is not capable of being an inside LB at LSU. he should move to another position.

They played hard! At this point in a F’d Up Season you really can’t ask for much more!

We are literally watching our entire 2nd team from last year start... minus Brennan. With True freshman littered everywhere. This has been baptism by fire w/o a Spring. I really look forward to watching them next year, esp with this class coming in. Brennan and Gilbert will be household names.

Agreed. Even when we got fricked by some calls, they kept fighting through it.
It really is all about the younger guys now.

True. The D fought the whole game and held A&M to 267 yards and 13 points.
There were a lot of deflating plays that could have made the team quit. The reversed TD followed by the INT, the punt muff after stopping A&M deep in their territory, the missed chip shot FG, the pick 6 and getting pinned inside the 10 multiple times. It looked like every bounce, every bad play was going against LSU and they kept fighting.
Then the long drive at the end to wipe out the shut out demonstrated they hadn't given up.

We are pretty much down to the ones who have to make a name for themselves. Just hope we hold the recruiting class together and finish strong!

You could see improvements across the defense, and there were some good spots on offense, as well, against a pretty good TAMU defense. I think that speaks positively for the coaching staff and shows that they haven't lost this team. This season sucks, but I have high hopes for next year.

Keep in mind the best player Saturday night for the defense was Kellen Mond, the guy is terrible.
