This article is heart breaking for those who havent seen it.
These tigers and other animals are trapped in cages in Syria with no food or water from the bombings. Would be awesome to get one of these tigers. This tiger would go from hell on earth to heaven in Baton Rouge.

Would be a good way to show it is more than a mascot to us.

Fuch PETA and those liberal pussy activist groups. I think it would be idiotic to bow to them and try and make them happy.

Mike VI is the only tiger in the history of the world to receive cancer treatment. We care about our tiger more than anyone else in this world.

doesn't matter one bit. not one iota.

We should treat him like royalty, always, no matter what effect or results it has on 3rd parties.

But no matter how well Mike is treated, it doesn't affect PETA's objectives, methods, or propaganda any whatsoever.

I met the chiropractor that regularly worked on Mike. PETA sent him nastygrams too. How many people get tigers chiropractic treatment? Bet the list is small. Never been such a well treated Tiger.

Yeah, appeasing PETA isn't on anyone's agenda.

That said, when the F are we getting Mike VII? The season's about to start.

LSU doesn't need to show PETA shite. Virtue signaling is for the weak. Get the Tiger that best suits your needs and is in accordance with the law and sit back and swirl your glass of red wine as you lean back in your recliner in your bathrobe. Ignoring PETA entirely is totally appropriate. I wouldn't even address anything they ever say in respect to LSU.

According to an article in The Advocate which quoted F. King, LSU has several leads with plans to have the tiger on campus before the first game. Assuming all that is true then it would seem likely the new Mike will be here in late August, one or two weeks before the BYU game.

We shouldn't get any tiger that we don't have FULL background on. Mike is too high-profile to go with "random" tigers.

I have sympathy for tigers that need rescue, but we can't be sure of their health, treatment, or disposition. Mike is required to have excellent health and the right behavioral profile. There's just no other way.

Seems pretty dumb. It's almost too late now. You don't want to get the Tiger and put him in the habitat and have tens of thousands of people around him right off the bat. Let him get acclimated to it first before you start throwing enormous crowds around him. Should have had a tiger in there at least a month ago.
