Seems like a lot. Couldn't find the stats though.

That does sound like a lot. Here’s today’s matchups plus where we stand for super regionals without having to pull up a bracket.

1 Arkansas/Nebraska vs. NCSU
2 Texas vs. USA/USF
3 Tennessee vs. 14 Oregon/LSU
4 Vanderbilt vs. 13 East Carolina
5 Arizona vs. 12 Ole Miss/So. Miss
7 MSU vs. 10 ND
8 Texas Tech vs. 9 Stanford/UC-Irvine
11 Old Dominion/Virginia vs. Dallas Baptist/OSU

I know, you’re right but in my mind that’s the easiest assumption to make of any today.

Campbell needs to beat MSU twice today. The rest of the remaining 7 outstanding are going to game 7s

Mississippi State still has to win today, Campbell needs to win 2 to advance.

And technically USA/USF aren’t in game 7 yet. USA is up 4 in B5 when game 6 resumes today, but if USA holds on they will play a game 7 later today.

6 game 7’s. Two (MSU/Campbell and USA/USF) are at game 6 due to rain delays. Campbell and USA would both need to win 2 in a row to advance. USAUSF game will pick up in the 5th with USA up 4-0.

I think having so many 5th year seniors on many of these teams is making for more competitive regionals.

The record for most regional game 7's is 8. Happened 4 times ('99, '01, '11 and '17)

Man. What would be the betting odds at the beginning of the season in any sport to have Old Dominion vs Dallas Baptist in a second round of a playoff...

I'm pulling for these two small schools.

I hate that the NCAA is going to stay at the host sites for Supers even if the top seeds didn’t win. I understand it with wanting be be overly precautions for CoviD or whatever, but that’s taking something away from a “once in a decade” event from some teams potentially (down at the 11 line in particular).

Didn’t realize that’s the case. That is dumb!

Not too sure about ODU historically, but I know DBU is a regular in baseball postseason. Both of my parents were DBU patriots way back in the day, so I have always noted when they are doing well in baseball.

The Florida regional the #3 and #4 seed are in the finals, USF/South Alabama.

DBU has been a regional team several times the last few years even making some really competitive finals not sure if they have ever made a super regionals though.

TCU is pretty close to DBU. I guess it’s unfair to ODU, but this happens in football when the normal expected host is unavailable.

DBU has made it to 7 straight NCAA tournaments and advanced only one (2011) to the Super Regionals.

that, and many kids didnt go in the draft...

just my opinoin, they need to have a 5 round draft one year and 10 round draft the next year... then college baseball will be better... no need for 20-30 rds anymore with all the minor league teams disbanding...

Dallas Baptist is Division II in every sport other than baseball...

there used to be a bunch of programs (LeMoyne, NYIT, C.W. Post, Hawaii-Hilo) that played baseball in D1 but were D2 otherwise, and Dallas Baptist is the last one left because they were grandfathered in.

Hockey has a bunch of those programs
