If any of our QB's can back the linebackers off the line of scrimmage, then our current RB situation will solve itself. We've be going against 8 in the box for a long time!! IT'S TIME WE BACK THEM OFF....

If Les was still here you'd still see the box loaded against us.

Or the HC could actually land a RB recruit...

My worry is that teams don’t have to put 8 in the box to stop our current RB’s.

Teams have loaded up the box because we’ve have generational backs and they had to load the box.

Lets see 6’4 and up WRs with speed and a QB who could actually get it to them. We are gonna be a team that passes to set up the run. Traditionally we have been a team that run to open the pass

You're not going to see straight ahead blocking distracted by bs, pointless shifting, like last year though. Pre LF, we had some great three and four star backs absolutely tear up other teams because we knew how to run blocking schemes. Add that to having a deeper Line this year than last (IMO), and I think the RBs will do very well, despite the lack of early Heisman list appearances compared to recent years past.

Coach Teton Tiger... My post was really directed to those concerned with our RB situation. Not your wise arse... By the way, how many years of coaching experience did you say you had? I have 18

No. Just no. When Les had a quarterback he wasn't afraid to use him.

Les would have adapted the offense according to the personnel, just like he's done in the past when he had the tools to work with.

Wut? LBs line up where they line up bud. You must mean DBs especially safeties.

You’re missing a comma behind “idiot”.

Maybe learn 3rd grade English before insulting someone on the internet, tough guy.

They can only put 7 in the box for a 4 Wide Out set and that would be with no help over the top. 4 Wide is amazing if you have the Oline to make a pocket...Or have a running QB.

Thought this was about a gangbang or poor attendance at a baseball game.
We’ve been talking about “blowing the top off” for years.

18 years congratulations. Very much needed profession. I hope those young men learned from you more than football. Also to be a man. No I’m not a coach. Just a man who raised three kids and married for 45 years. So if offended oh well so let’s get behind the Tigers and enjoy the season as it unfolds.

Tell me more. It would be great if we can get linebackers out of the box.

Just have to COMPLETE the "hot routes, slant routes and curl routes over the middle. They will back off quickly when you burn 'em where they should have been. Makes run blocking up front a lot easier.

Teams loaded the box because we had a hard headed mother fricker that would not change his dinosaur offense for shite. He was fired for it. It's time to move on. Let the fricking season just begin.....
