He was consistent, disappeared in big and small games.

You can’t be dramatic all of the time and not produce. Locker room will be better without him.

Thanks for the big game against ole miss once in 2020.

For some reason people don’t realize that one game accounted for nearly 20% of his career yardage. ONE GAME! He was extremely mediocre and the fact we have given him this much attention is strange

Even though Boutte had his faults, 538 yards and 2 TD is more of an indictment on JD than it is on Boutte.

Yep those crisp routes he ran and the max effort he put out on every play. We shouldn’t blame that at all right?

The drama isn't/wasn't worth it. LSU will always have dudes at WR.

Wish KB all the best and will root for him as a pro, but addition by subtraction. WR room is loaded and hungry. Have to imagine he was a minor distraction. KB was not a cancer, or at least BK didn't allow it to become one, but locker room chemistry will likely be better off.

Downvote away, but I think there is a chance that he doesn’t make an NFL roster.

If he goes to the NFL and balls out …what will you say then

Extremely strange given our WR history, everybody went crazy over a couple games

Same thing I say when I see Russell Gage on TV. “Man I can’t believe he’s still in the league. That’s awesome.”

But something tells me he will be a lot more like Dural than Gage at the next level.

Thank you! It was absolutely indicative of a QB who was scared to throw down the field or across the middle. Comeback routes and out routes was it.

This isn't the dunk you think it is.

And yet threw the same amount of TDs per attempt as Nuss... with a lot less Ints. Hmmmmmmm.

We didn't do it. The national media and NFL scouts did it.
Before this season, The NFL scouts and sports journalists put the spotlight on him as a first round draft pick for 2023.

Despite this season, he's still projected to go early in the 2nd round.

I guess they saw and still see something you didn't.

There’s also a chance Bryce Young doesn’t make a roster. See how fricking off the wall that sounds. Young and Boutte will be drafted in the first round.

What about the fact that five other guys had a higher ypc than Boutte? Was JD supposed to run for him after the catch too?

He was a decoy so many times. He took the best cover guy and another guy with him deeper on dozens of short easy throws. Granted he was absolutely lazy on those routes but he knew he wasn't getting the ball.
