This is McMahon’s three year overall and SEC (regular season)

Over the course of his LSU tenure:

Fewest SEC wins (14)…5 less than the second worst

Worst conference road record 4-23

1-3 in SEC tournament with a (nearly) 17 point average margin of defeat in the 3 loses

The, cumulative, lowest NET ranking in the conference.

The, cumulative, lowest KenPom rating in the conference

With Georgia’s impending NCAAT bid, McMahon will be the only one of the six SEC coaches hired ahead of the 22-23 season to not reach the NCAAT. In fact, LSU has never even been in the conversation for a bid beyond the 1st week of February

0-5 vs. Alabama
0-5 vs Mississippi St
0-3 vs Auburn
0-3 vs Tennessee
0-3 vs Florida
1-3 vs Georgia (EDT 2-3 vs Georgia)
1-3 vs Ole Miss

I’m not sure some fully grasp how bad these last 3 seasons have been

We could’ve just hired Mike White and been ho hum but fine. Instead we hire the worst coach possible.

For reference, Will Wade was 5-0 in 5 away games at Texas A&M

CMM has 14 sec wins total in three years.

The 2018-2019 sec championship team won 16 in that one year alone

Lmao. This has got to be the worst coaching job I have ever seen

He's legit a worse but white Johnny Jones

I crave the days of losing in round 1 as an 8 seed liked Johnny did once

That’s incredibly insulting to Jones. While not a great coach by any means, he never had a losing season in conference until his lame duck final season (which, coincidentally, the program is about to go through again)

The real question is do you trust Woodward to replace him, either this year or next?

I don’t.

Scott does not have a record at all of finding emerging coaches. His best hires were outspending the market for proven coaches. He won’t do that for basketball.

He can at least mix it up next year and schedule tough. These 5 game home stretches of MVSU, ETSU, MTSU, and Nicholls during holiday break are enough to zap any basic interest.

Johnny, while he had his faults, could produce exciting basketball. Remember the win against #10 Marquette and the awesome comeback against West Virginia on the road.

McMahon has really run just a listless program. The only fun spot I can think of is the last second win over Kentucky last season but then he runs off the guy who made the winning shot.

Considering Todd Golden was hired at the same time, McMahon’s hiring is a huge misfire.

I haven’t watched any of this, so won’t remember. Tell me when it’s over please.

Beating low mid-major opponents and, inexplicably, Arkansas (at home) are the positives of his tenure. He’s not abandoning that

That was actually Trent’s last team, but the case still stands that Jones >>> McMahon even though both are trash.

Would've been MUCH MUCH better off keeping WW and just went on probation.

The loser has to go now. Would rather have a walk on coach than him.

He’s only hired two men’s basketball coaches, right?

Buzz Williams was a very good hire at Texas A&M.

Matt McMahon was hired because they had to find somebody and nobody wanted the job. He gets a pass for that. He will not get a pass if McMahon is back next year.

Until someone calls and says.... your vote matters, I don't give a shite who they hire or fire. Because they don't care about your opinions.

I feel like coming in McMahon was looked as as a smart coach who can debelop players

but even if that’s true that’s not what’s happening.

our roster flips every year. we have so little continuity and players aren’t going to be 3-4 year program guys.

not the players he’s getting and not the players we need to win.
