Just thought I would share...

Definitely a talent issue.

Based on that he inherited more talent than miles.

That 05 class was like 22 or something.

You skipped Troy - slide them in between OSU and Bama.

WHAT? I knew it was high, but I didn't realize it was that high; LSU tied for #2 in country and can't be Troy, MS, or keep Syr from getting a safety?

Hmmmmm, somethings wrong. I don't see Troy on that list

Or MSU for that matter.

A guy at work claimed we must not have more talent than Troy because we lost. He kept talking about the players drafted. All I could do was shake my head.

But..but...but it's NOT coach o's fault. This team isn't talented enough to beat the Troy's and Mississippi State's of the world or to put away the powerhouse programs like Syracuse and BYU (apologies to Syracuse and BYU).

LSU has recruited well but there has been a lot of attrition, injuries, and suspensions. That being said, we certainly had more talent on the field than MSU and Troy and lost anyway.

Both the incoming recruiting rankings and outgoing drafts tell us we haven't had talent issue for over a decade.

Is that according to 247, Rivals, or Scout?

Exactly. If folks want to use the talent excuse against teams like Bama and Auburn, go for it.

Not ONE Troy player would've been recruited by LSU.

Published your FACTS, on another site; I was advised rankings don't mean a thing citing FSU losses? But they PROVE the LSU is down on talent this year stuff, even being stated by respected sportswriters, is total propaganda.

Yeah and a lot of people here are saying we aren't talented lol these are the idiots that like O and do not understand college football.

Sure, we've had 15 or so players transfer over the last two years, but we're still top 10 talent-wise.

It's coaching, people. The players are under developed, unprepared, and uninspired. The blame goes to Alleva, O, staff, and Les Miles - in that order.

The recruiting rankings are fools gold. Go back and look through the classes and see how many 5* CBs and WRs we’ve signed that are no longer here or can’t get on the field. That’s what carried our classes in the past while schools like Bama, and Ohio State are getting multiple 5* OL/DL. We recruited the sexy positions very well but it’s the big uglies that win you games and championships. No one has recruited better than Bama when it comes to OL/DL and it’s while they’re dominating year after year.

I’m hopeful that O can get those type of players because that’s the only way he’ll be able to mask his coaching insufficiencies.

The problem is that O, even more so than he already was, is becoming a joke nationally, which is going to negatively affect his recruiting abilities going forward.
