Sunshine pumpers - give us something positive to take us away from those facts.

Agree.

And defense wins championships right?

Glad to hear that....the Tigers don't deserve a regional host....they just deserve a better coaching staff

Here we go again.

If you get rid of Miles, who is better than him?
Miles gets ZERO offers to coach anywhere.

If LSU gets rid of CPM, there are coaches that could do the job better.

Josh Smith will keep the tradition of great defensive shortstops going for a couple more years. Could end up being the second best hitter of that group.

Centerfield is locked down for the next couple of years also.

Positives can be found just have to be willing to look for them.

Not much positive to say about that road record...
But, LSU is installing solar panels on the grandstand roof and will direct wire every seat under it with sunshine, that way all the naysayers will constantly have sunshine pumped into them during the game...

It's sickening that our administration operates out of fear. All of these contracts should be performance based.

It's a shame the administration doesn't have confidence in the amount of excellent coaches out there that would kill for the opportunity to coach at LSU and would happily take a contract that is weighted on performance.

Ah the age-old retort of the underperforming coach's apologist. The same question, of course, was being asked during the Miles debacle. It turned out, and I don't think it can be debated, that even installing an interim HC promoted from DL coach improved the team's level of play last season. Not saying that an in-house promotion would help our baseball team, just that the old "who would do better?" question is often answered surprisingly easily.

hmmmmmm.....theres a novel idea.....merit based salaries. Its not like a large chunk of the world works a job using this principle.

Agents aren't going to allow performance based contracts for their clients. Good coaches hold all the cards, not the school.

I doubt there is any good coach, in any sport, that has a heavy performance based contract. Agents would lose too much.

Not an Alleva fan, but this issue isn't on him.

The one glaring negative is CPM standing in dugout..
