I'm melting down about the passing game woes, too. But here's a question:

Suppose that our passing O never really gets much better, or lives up to the potential that we all see. Can our defense and special teams play *so* good, that we can get to the seccg despite:
1) our offense rarely putting the ball in the endzone
2) our offense not moving the ball very well
3) scoring mostly field goals, and defense & special teams touchdowns

?

ETA: obviously this assumes are team identity is/becomes playing great D, pounding the rock, controlling the time of possession as much as possible, not turning the ball over, and maintaining good field position.
