And Miles fricked it up

No. 2005 was an insane year with the hurricanes. Making the SECCG was a huge accomplishment given the circumstances, no bye weeks and it being Miles’ first season. The team was out of gas come SECCG.

Billy Cannon would get cut from the 2019 squad

Are you really serious or being sarcastic. Cannon was a superb athlete, 6 foot 1 and 210 pounds, ran a 9.6 100 yards dash in HS. The biggest difference between 1958 and now wasn't the skill position players, it was the lines. Even when I was in college in the '80's the lines are much larger now than then. But the skill there were several skill position players from the early days that could play today. Cannon would be a LBer or a DB in todays game. Jimmy Taylor could play in todays game as well. Jerry Stovall was a great athlete as well.

Even though the 2011 LSU team didn't finish their business like they should have, they were one of the most talented teams in LSU history. Just look at that team's roster and the ridiculous amount of talent we had EVERYWHERE, and deep too. That was the demise of miles. He didn't understand the magnitude of that rematch vs Bama in the natty. Saba fully understood and we didn't even show up on offense. That was the game that did miles in, bc the fan base was furious after that game and the shitshow we put on the field on offense with the talent we had. Miles lost a huge part of the fan base after that game and never got them back due to his own stupidity in the coming seasons. Had that 2011 team won the natty and went undefeated, there could have been a serious debate whether or not they were the best team of all time in college football. Just look at the schedule we played, who we beat, and the scores by which we beat them. That team was special and les just couldn't get out of his own way in the title game. Horrible game plan on offense and once it was clear that Bama was shutting it down, he didn't even try anything else. Will piss me off for the rest of my life, bc I just don't understand how you continue to do the same shite knowing they were coached well to shut it down. That team had the talent to do anything we wanted on offense and didn't change shite. In all honesty, that 2011 team was probably the best team ever at LSU, and one of the best in ncsa history as well. Too bad our coaching staff wasnt as talented as the team was. Geaux tigers.

LSU 's comeback versus Arkansas was the climax to the season. That head coach for Arkansas hated Les (Coach Miles) and was a cold blooded rebel cut throat. He's is gone the good guys won the day.
