LSU lost to a Les Miles offense ran by Chip Kelly.

Even Les didn't run that offense that well.

Run the ball semi-effectively and Max's yards goes over 400, add 2 TDs, completion % screams 'this guy is goodd' and we are all wearing t-shirts that fang sissy blue.

Their TE was very impressive. Our LBers had no clue what to do against him.

How’s that for the supposed best CBs and alleged great full of depth DL?

Well, I counted 3 receptions for like > 50 yards to wide receivers.

LSU got beat by a team that doesn't even pass as much as Les Miles.

Yeah, that would have been nice, but.....

Yeah I’d never do that. Only a cringey O sycophant would, so I can see why you’d suggest it as a possibility

The game just reeked of poor coaching. The players looked completely clueless out there.

LSU's D is worst in the country over the past 14 games in giving up 50 yard+ plays. And that is WITH the benefit of Stingley and Ricks.

I agree but most of our big plays given up are always in the middle of the field. When your LB’s and S have no clue how to defend crossing routes and can’t tackle worth a damn, this is your end result. They never really tested Stingley and Ricks if I can remember correctly. The middle of our defense is what kills us and it’s pathetic.

Stingley is way overrated. Don’t get all the hype for him. That last attempted tackle was pathetic.

I agree Stingley doesn't really look like someone that wants to eagerly play the game of football but he does cover well.

The problems with the D are actually pretty easy to see, imo.

1. LBs are lost, have no or limited ability to fill gaps and know responsibilities.
2. LBs don't seem to know how to tackle or even want to put a shoulder down and put into the gut of a RB coming down the pipe.
3. LBs don't seem to know how to cover TE/RBs.
4. The same could easily be said of the Safeties, lost and nowhere to be found on the field.
5. LSU is playing some guys at DE that really are over matched at times in the run game i.e. BJ, Anthony, etc.

If they can't find some LB/Ss that can or are willing to tackle i.e. sacrifice their body. Its going to be a long year.

Stingley's body language is a problem, but right now its further down on the list, imo.

Stingley had 4-5 good games as a freshman and that’s it. He still has burns on him from what 6 from BAma put on him. I don’t get the hype. Play hard or quit and go train

I don't know what happened to Stingley. He's just a shadow of his 2019 presence.
