If you told me the next coach would have identical career arc I would take it in a heartbeat.

Absolutely. I just hope that one day I’ll have a child to share a season like 2019 with.

my boy was 13 - now 14. He’s grown up a lot in the last year and does t spend as much time with me as he used to (older friends that drive, girls, sports etc). Took him to the Oklahoma game and had a blast. 2019 was a special year and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I'm split on it. If retard 0 could have 2019, anyone else could have done the same here. Do you also trade 2019 for the possibility of more than one championship since 2016 with a coach that isn't completely clueless? We'll never know I suppose.

2019 was fun though.

2019 would have happened with Aranda in charge, which he essentially was. The scourge of Ed was unnecessary.

You take a national title in any scenario

For us to get a title out of Orgeron then fire him 2 years later is a best case scenario

2019 was definitely worth it. But, Woodward made mistakes after that year. He gave O too much guaranteed money. Anyone should have been worried that 2019 could have been a fluke because it seemingly came out of nowhere. There were few if any predictions that we would go undefeated and win the natty.

100% yes. We possess the GOAT for what may last a century.

You can say that but you can’t exactly prove it. I get that you hate him. That’s fine. But let’s not live in hypotheticals just to crap on the man that helped contribute to greatest team CFB history.

What exactly did he contribute though? There is no real evidence he did much. I'm seriously asking.

He recruited a boatload of those players including Burrow. We’ve all heard the crawfish story. You all can act like that didn’t contribute but guess what, it did.

HE most certainly was not responsible for getting Burrow here.

and yall can act like he's anything other than a god awful coach, but he is.

And unlike you, we do have the proof. His whole tenure at Ole Miss and his time here without a generational talent in Burrow.

Never said he was a great coach. But he is a great recruiter. Deny that all you want. Still doesn’t make it not true.
And he certainly helped get Burrow here. Not 100% but he helped.

We did not win 2019 because of Ed Orgeron.
And he is not the punishment or cost we must pay for it.
Those of your who foster this myth do not properly honor the talents of the players and coaches who actually made it happen.
Ed deserves credit for not meddling, but with an undefeated team rolling over everybody in its path, he would have been profoundly stupid to do so.

Based pretty much solely on reputation, and not results.
