Yes. But it still doesn’t negate the fact that he’s dropping 40-50 yard dimes.

some of those throws are big time.
his delivery is compact and i didnt see him drop the ball below his should on any throws. even on the deep balls the starting point of his delivery was high and tight

I’ve had a pretty negative outlook towards LSU FB these past few months (hard not too) but burrow really does change the entire outlook of next season for LSU. I’ve watched all of his HS and OSU videos and you’ll see the same thing from him in every video; great pocket presence, incredible accuracy, a strong arm, above average mobility, and he loves to attack downfield. We haven’t had a QB with talent like this since Mett and anyone downplaying his significance hasn’t watched this kid play.
I had us as a 7/8 win team next year but I think Burrow makes us a 9/10 win team. Our schedule is still brutal but we will be much more competitive now that we have a seasoned and talented QB to run the offense.

He is reminiscent of Matt Flynn. Good size and speed, above average arm and accurate. Hopefully he's clutch like Flynn.

Actually it's amazing how much his throwing motion improved since his High School tape. He said it himself in an interview that his mechanics improved. I watched his recruiting film highlights that someone posted and he has improved as a thrower.
What we saw in that clip is better than we've seen from the guys we currently have even if it's just a spring game.

If the offense line can step up and protect this kid he seems to have all the tools necessary to be pretty damn good.

A reporter brought it up to him in his interviews after the spring game and he stated that a particular coach had really altered his footwork and mechanics and he a much different passer now. He's said to be a very smart kid and a student of the game.
Let's hope so.
