Am I remembering this right: is that last drive exactly what should have happened on our last drive in 2006?

2006 PI was waved off. Clock expired trying to get in FG range.

The refs called two PI (correctly) in 2018. Walk off FG.

I don't recall this game.
Was 2007 the one with Byrd catching the TD with 2 sec left. I remember that one because I was there.

I think that was 2007. Pretty sure it was National title year.

The PI happened on our second to last drive. We actually had a shot to win it on the last play of the game, but completed a pass at the 5 and didn't get in the endzone.

So you’re saying LSU should have played for the 1 point loss instead of the 4 point loss in 2006?

Gotcha. Was remembering it as 7-6. Definitely still triggered.

I think the last play on 06 was when nobody was open in the end zone and JR threw short hoping the receiver could beat his man. Didn't work.

Let's not forget that David Irons tackled the LSU WR (I think Doucet) in the endzone right before half time. It should have been PI but was never called. It was egregious and left a solid chance at points off the board for LSU.

Also, the Jacob Hester catch, 3 to 4 chop steps, gets the 1st, called incomplete.

Auburn fumbled late, but it wasn't called. I hope I'm not mixing two games!
