I was 11 years old and still pissed after the Tulane loss, and the BS offensive interference call on Eric Martin. That call changed the momentum.
LSU played their arse off, and basically out played Nebraska the entire match up. . Looking back on it, that game took alot out of Stovall.

I was about 7 and remember how pumped I was to watch the game. I even got the LSU rugby (coca cola style) shirt with the sugar bowl on the sleeve. One of my earliest LSU memories

Nebraska had Rozier,Gill, Fryer and a stud offensive lineman named Dave Remington. Ramsay Dar Dar outplayed him all night.

My dad went to this game and his car broke down in downtown Miami. He said he was lucky to get out alive.

Made the road trip to Miami (freshman year). Great game except for outcome..the defense was stout. Remember it being quite warm also. Visited EPCOT on way back (wasn’t quite finished). Also remember listening to Cowboys/Vikings game on the road home…the one where Dorsett had the 99 yard TD run.

Ahhhh, the riots! Our plans were to head over to SoBe after the game, but after seeing the 'orange glow' we headed back to Key Biscayne; Ironically, moved here after Katrina.
