LSU's 24-13 victory against then no. 4 Florida on the road. This was a great LSU team but they couldn't maintain consistency. They beat Alabama for the first time in 12 years and crushed no. 7 Florida State but lost to both Miss. State and Tulane. They gave Nebraska all they could handle in the Orange Bowl. Anyway, enjoy!

. The d line more so. I think they held the Bama wishbone to minus yards rushing

The defense wasn't bad either. All 11 starters were drafted and went on to play some pro ball. Nine to the NFL and two to the USFL.

The defense was one of the best i’ Seen at LSU. But the team was up and down. They should have been undefeated in the regular season. The losses and tie were inexcusable especially the loss at home to the greenies!

That game was Dalton Hilkiard's coming out party. I remember that day like it was yesterday.

That was what was so insane about that season. The very easily could have played for the NC after the previous season of going 2-8-1 including a 48-7 blowout loss to Tulane...TULANE!

I was there with my Pops and a friend. To this day, it remains a top three road game experience. It was the most obnoxious crowd I ever experienced. Dalton just blew their shite up. What a great memory. If that team had been properly coached they could have won a title.

I was at all the home games that year, that was one of the most talented LSU teams ever, they should have never lost a game. They partied like rock stars, they were messed up the night before the Tulane game bad. They were 42 point favorites against Tulane and lost. But, Murphy's loved them, LOL.
