Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

In the midst of record breaking seasons for the offense, what CEH did was pretty amazing. 1867 yards from scrimmage. 1414 yards rushing, 453 yards receiving on 55 catches.

He really should go down as one of the all-time great running backs at LSU.

Leonard Fournette with 2162 yards from scrimmage is the only LSU RB to top Clyde.

Clyde’s 1414 yards rushing is the 3rd best single season total. His 453 yards receiving is the most for an LSU RB in a single season.

I know we played 15 games and that skews the stats a bit, but those 15 games brought us a championship and CEH was a HUGE part of that. He kind of quietly had the 2nd best year ever for an LSU RB.

I wouldn’t even consider the amount of games they played. Go by touches. He had far less touches then LF. Very impressive for CEH!

Might of had 2K if he was healthy enough to play all of Oklahoma game!

Ended with 110 yards in the NC. I know it is a stretch but it would be great to see him back.

This. LF7 played in a run first offense and was the premier player on that team

At 6'4 270 he is a total mismatch for anyone out there

I would go even further and say he has been the best RB ever at LSU, regardless of the stats. What he did in the most important games this year is way more important than the yardage LF put up or what any other RB at LSU has done. His ability to make people miss reminds me of Barry Sanders. Had it not been for CEH, no telling where this team would have been this year. Maybe one of the backups could have done something similar but CEH was as big as big can get.

I dont know. There are already 6+ underclassmen running backs that have already declared + however many seniors there are.

Might not be a bad move to come back.

No quietly about it for me. He was so clutch all year and especially against bama. He's definitely one of my all time favorite tigers. He's got more heart than anyone on the field.

I'm a huge CEH fan after this year. Tough as nails, and hard to take down. He reminds me of a shorter Mark Ingram.

Best wishes of health and success to him in the NFL....he deserves it.

My only regret, is that i feel like i didn't get to see him run more because this offense was a "pass first" team. LOL< then i look at his yards for the season, and i think "where was i when he quietly ran for 1400 yards?"

I wouldn’t go by touches or games

How about average per game

Fournette 183 ypg from scrimmage

Jeremy hill 131 ypg from scrimmage

Clyde 124 ypg from scrimmage

Did you count the Oklahoma game? I know he played, but just a few plays as a decoy mostly.

You wouldn't go by touches or games so you go by games?

Hard to say who made the biggest improvement this year- Clyde, Burrow, or the WRs.

There have been more physically gifted LSU RBs, but none who had a bigger heart, more character, more dedication, more great, or a better spin move than CEH. The other thing to take into consideration is that he may be the best all-around back the Tigers have had in many decades--rushing, catching, and pass pro.

I assume he meant he wouldn't go by games played

If they'd allowed him or instructed him to return more kicks he probably could have finished 1st in Single Season All-Purpose Yards ahead of Fournette and OBJ.

He's been lights out this year, and like Burrow, he supremely benefited from the new scheme and opening up the playbook. He's just an amazing player to watch in space.

Burrow and Clyde are 1A and 1B of my favorite players on this team. He has a great underdog story and the kid has as much heart as any player I've ever seen. The SECN did a really good story on his life and the story behind his hyphenated last name.
