I gotta say hottest game I have been to was either of the past 2 Auburn 230 kickoffs. Remember it was especially hot for the game Fournette went in dry on them.

None of you are even close. Hottest game ever was 1992/93 LSU/Texas A&M in BR. First or second week of September and a DAY game. (05 Tenn was a night game). One of those brutal 95-97 degree days with a ton of humidity. Not sure if they had a heat index back then, but had have been 110 plus. People passing out everywhere form heat exhaustion. The 08 Appy St game was hot but also extremely breezy due to Gustav. Def took the edge off.

I'll never get past our defensive strategy in that game. Jump out to the big lead, Clausen could barely throw the ball 10 yards downfield and we play 10 yards off the receivers, let them dink and dunk pass and wear out our defense.

Already our players were probably not in the best condition given the week they had, to play that type of defense was very counterproductive and was the only way Tennessee was going to have a chance.

Zero second half 1st downs that game until the Hail Mary completion at the end of regulation. IDC if 10 Hurricanes hit that fall Miles performance vs Tenn in 05 is indefensible.

Then remember we had another scoring opp just before half he blew also. Such a miserable game I don’t think I ever fully embraced Miles because of that disgraceful performance.
