11 years ago today...a day many older tiger fans thought they'd never see. LSU wins its first college football national championship in 45 years. It was a great day in LSU sports history and I thought it shouldn't go without mention.

LSU 21
Oklahoma 14

It was Sunday too if memory serves. Got to watch the game with my dad in the upper deck of the Superdome. A great day that I'll remember for my entire life

Not a Sunday. Monday night if I recall, maybe even a Tuesday.

Was in front row in student section in endzone. Great night. Just wished it would've been against USC.

When Donnie Jones' punt rolled around to end the game, I didn't celebrate or yell or anything. Just sat there for 5 minutes. I couldn't believe time had expired.

Definitely a Sunday night. I was in the Dome. When Donnie Jones' punt stopped rolling and the clock was at 00:00, I thought of my recently deceased Dad and tears rolled down my cheeks wishing he could have been with me.

If Miles and Co. can fix the qb problem even a little, ok maybe a lot, and we get an aggressive, enthusiastic, good hire in a DC, we could be there next year! Not that far off. Would be an incredible coaching job by the staff.

Sunday. Drove 3 hours home after game b/c of work the next day. A miserable Monday but we'll worth it!
