Bama looks rough this year, they may open 0-2. They just don't seem to have the athletes that they use to

Bama's freshman class is very good, they are better than their upperclassmen

I just re looked at the scores

There is a major problem when 3 or 4 scores per rotation, the scores between the judges differ by over .10 to .200

WTF

Don’t follow the sport but will watch the championships if LSU is in it. I know they work hard and are impressive and DD has them near the top every year....would love to see them rewarded with a National Title....maybe this is the year

Come out to a meet. Generally Friday night, tickets are inexpensive. Meets run about 1hr 30-40 min. Great show.

The Florida fans on twitter are salty right now

Their response to all of the LSU fans have been

"Win a national title then you can talk"

and then some dumb bitch said LSU received questionable score

"Florida gymnastics got cheated out of a win against LSU! They had a heck of a night and of course the judges don’t think so "

Curious. What's the hold up with Desiderio? Injury?

She came to LSU out of the elite world all beat up. She had an ankle injury and some tenderness

She probably could compete now but is held out for precaution. She will play a major role in LSU's run toward a national title later on.

I think you will see more freshman on floor extremely soon

Yall will probably see Dean soon enough.

Yall wanna know what makes this incredible Florida lost ZERO routines and adds a top freshman class LSU competed without starters on multiple events again and with 4 true freshman on the road... and still put up 197 + with shite scoring

This is exactly why before the season had started that I figured this meet would be a loss, and especially because it was the first road meet for the freshman. I'm so proud of this team. They once again went out and killed beam to take home the win. I can't imagine the nerves they were feeling only leading by .25 while Florida goes to floor where we know there is normally huge home floor scoring going on. They did such a phenomenal job.

Not sure if I am the only one but I really prefer Cannamela to Erin on vault. I think Julianna has excellent technique and just from practices, she usually has better controlled landings

did this chick announcer graduate from Florida? her bias is obvious

Kathy Johnson Clarke is great. She actually has always had a lot of high praise for LSU. To be quite honest, she would have annoyed me last year if I weren't a tiger fan because at times it seems she was actually gushing over them like a fan herself. She actually got choked up during Gnat's last beam routine in the super six.

I have a question about Ruby. What's going on with her and vault? She was nailing vault last year, so why/how is she having problems this year? How can someone all the sudden start struggling with a vault they used to nail? Also, very puzzled as to why they started Kirby over her for her first career bars start while on the road at Florida?

Ruby had a really bad set of warm ups last week so she was pulled out of the lineup. In practice she looks fine unless there was an injury, but that wouldn't make any sense considering she competed floor.

Not sure about this decision from DD, Kirby has done a fantastic job on bars and continues to improve. I think DD wanted to develop depth by seeing what Kirby could do. I love DD but this personally wasn't the time or place for it IMO

But when DD talked earlier this week she literally mentioned that Ruby will be back in the lineup. If she isn't in it next week vs Bama, this would be a very bad sign.

Ruby has a bit of a consistency problem at times.

If we can add her back, LSU will be stacked on vault. I thought Ruby did a better job this week on floor. First pass (front with double full) still needs to be cleaned but it was much better this week.

But prepared to see different/if not MORE freshman in the lineup this week vs Bama. Its coming, will potentially could have 5 true freshman in the lineups by end of season.

Edwards looked much improved in less than a week, much better vault. Floor was flawless, just had a miscue on the last pass but its hard not to like what we saw.

LSU just needs people to be back at %100 and for people to have reps, we have yet to touch on any of our potential which is the scary part

Edwards shouldn't be doing front layout full to front layout full. She could do front layout full to front layout and start out of a 10 and it would be so much more consistent. That's a very difficult pass that doesn't get the credit it deserves, not sure it is worth the risk.

I personally think some of the floor routines need to be restructured. In terms of the skills performed. Edwards will be an absolute star on floor. Just needs more reps and more time. Ashlyn will need to up the difficulty eventually

Also it would be a major shock if Ruby harrold isn't on vault and bars this Friday. Ruby's family comes to BR finally this week.

Oklahoma posted the nations highest score, 197.550, against Georgia. Anastasia Webb, a freshman, won the all around beating out super soph, Maggie Nichols.

OU is just loaded. They lost five or six routines returning from last year, but four of them were all from Chase Capps who did all around.... They had a great Freshman Class come in and they will be tough all year long all the way through Nationals ....just no way to get around it
