What is the word on Thomas? Looks like another Foucha or Brooks situation. The guy can play.

He's an interesting piece to this.
If I was Kelly, I might pitch him on the idea of coming in as my return specialist and maybe playing cornerback. He could get on the field a lot earlier here at corner than at wide receiver, and if you took him it would make your numbers crunch a little easier.
But we need to offer him unless there's some "cultural" reason why we wouldn't want to.

We need more freshman WRs.

What I meant by another "Foucha and Brooks situation" is that this is a very talented football player, and I am puzzled as to why he was not offered. I did not mean he should move to the secondary. Sorry for the confusion.

No, I get it. But I was thinking independently that he might fit at corner based on our situation there.
We have this guy Rutledge out of Highland Park in Dallas that we offered last week who I would imagine would come, and if we sign him to go with Lacy and Ibieta that would fill out enough depth that we'd have 9-10 wide receivers without using Thomas there.
But if he tells you he'd only come as a WR I would still take him. Just to have him as a return man, it's worth it. He's legit as a return man on his tape.

LSU wanted to sign 4 high school WR. And that was before several left.
I don’t think they believe they are anywhere near full.

Agreed.
It's going to leave a hole when the big 5 wr class leaves.

He has already signed and turned his papers in to Miss State

This is false. He has only committed

Doesn’t show that he’s signed on 247 site. Not saying that’s error proof.... but it’s typically correct and he’s committed, not signed
