Similar heights and weight, 5'8" 160 lbs., neither had offers from power 5 colleges. Mathieu actually grew an inch in college, he was listed as 5'8" in high school.
Mathieu was NOT 5-8 160 pounds!

You’re the ignorant know it all acting like this kid is the next Tyrann Mathieu. There will never be another Tyrann Mathieu, not for LSU, not for Alabama, not for any SEC teams, not for anyone. He was a once in a lifetime player and he had qualities that I’ve never seen before and ones that you certainly aren’t seeing in an unranked prospect from Zachary

I said “may be the next Tyrann Matthieu” not stating as such, stop acting like an arse. There are always pleasant surprises in college football.

Well if Whitfield does against West Monroe what Mathieu did I will agree. WM won that game, but Mathieu's play was exceptional.

Not too argue with the down voters, but last time I heard this kind of talk, it was about some small guy in North Louisiana named "Pooka", and he had a decent year at Kansas this year. Just saying, height and weight matters, until it doesn't .... because of speed and special innate abilities
He didn't skip over Pooka because of his size.
We passed on him because he was a grade risk and we didn't have a scholarship to burn on someone who might not get eligible

TM7 was 5’8” 186 at the nfl combine. That is official

Pooka wasn't from North Louisiana, and LSU wanted him just couldn't wait to see if he made the grades make it there.

Watch what Whitfield does against this monster WM defense that hasn't allowed a score in the playoffs, if he kills it, sign him up!

Matthieu was an anomaly. He had something inside that can’t be evaluated. He was like LSU winning the powerball with only one ticket
more like winning the super.
If he had played another year vs Bama, then power.

So, what’s your thought now because he did Excatly that yesterday and MORE against WM! They couldn’t stop Zachary with BAD calls...

Nice alter truetiger
That's Whitfield's mom I believe or a relative. I'm living rent-free in your head, you see me everywhere.

Are you referring to the Whitfield kid who is ranked #79 in Louisiana and comparing him to the same Mathieu that was #6 overall in Louisiana?

Ratings don’t mean shite, La Tech and other smaller schools have been painful reminders numerous times.
All I know with any certainty, is that this kid played against the top talent in the state while Zachary was making numerous playoff runs. Teams learned like West Monroe not to kick or punt to him. You’re right, he may not be a TM, but he still may be a special player, and he’s a tough kid who will take some hits catching the ball.

Ratings mean a hell of a lot more than you thinking that Zachary kids are under the radar future TM7. Again, you fricking love Zachary and think that Saban is setting up a summer camp there.
Here's your "ratings don't mean shite"
2011 Bama number 1
2012 Bama number 1
2013 Bama number 1
2014 Bama number 1
2015 Bama number 2
2016 Bama number 1
2017 Bama number 1
During that span they have won 4 titles and they have been in every FBS playoff. They didn't get there through under the radar guys. They recruit 5 star players.

Keep it to recruiting please but you’re silly if you think that’s why they win.
