Yeah, I'm not sure why this thread was started. Pearson is already listed on the roster of the Angels complex team in the AZL. He's probably going to make his pro debut in their opener tomorrow night. They don't assign you to a roster if the ink ain't dry on the contract.

I was told by a very good friend who's son was a senior on the WM team and good friends with Pearson that it is $1.5 million.

He absolutely should go. That's $500,000 after taxes. Hopefully his parents will put that aside and if baseball doesn't work out he will have enough money to not only pay for his college expenses but also to buy a house and get started in life.
