So he’s saying what he said 2 months ago before early signing.

He predicted Burch to LSU then.

It will all come down to what Burch does this weekend. If he goes to USCe, Coach Boom will break out the knee pads and beg this kid to stay home and save his job.

Hopefully O convinced him to just stay home.

If you believe the "insiders" most everyone thought Burch was picking LSU.

Of course! But the fact that he and his mom came AND paid their own way to do it, says a LOT. The interest is real.

I sure wish Van Pran would have a change of heart and come to LSU. We need him here.

I Don't see how he picks USC knowing Muschamp is likely out other than to stay home but then you have to play for a whole new staff

All is "fair" in recruiting and I suspect LSU "implied" that this could be Muschamp's last season in Columbia. This will be season number 5 for him. While USC doesn't have a rich football tradition, I'd imagine they want to be better than .500 (below .500 in SEC play). Right now they aren't even close to Clemson and really aren't doing much vs. a relatively weak SEC East (absent the one shocking upset of UGA)

I'm never going to criticize a kid for wanted to stay close to home (Lord knows people on here lose their shite every time a LA player chooses to leave the state). But if his main reason for choosing USC is a relationship with Will Muschamp, he might want to think strongly on if that's who he will be playing for over the next 2-3 years following this season.

Yeah, you can stick a fork in Muschamp because he's done if they don't make a bowl game this season. To be honest, I thought it after this hideous 4-8 season. Of course the win over Georgia helped but then they lost to Appalachian State I believe. If I was in the SEC East I would hope Muschamp would stay at S Carolina...didn't do the job at Florida and certainly hasn't done the job at S Carolina. This guy IMO clearly isn't head coaching material. Wow! Here's a pattern if ever I've seen one...3 bad seasons at each school with the only good one being the 2nd year he was there.

Florida Gators (Southeastern Conference) (2011–2014)
2011 Florida 7–6
2012 Florida 11–2
2013 Florida 4–8
2014 Florida 6–5
Florida: 28–21 17–15 SEC * Fired prior to bowl game

South Carolina Gamecocks (Southeastern Conference) (2016–present)
2016 South Carolina 6–7
2017 South Carolina 9–4
2018 South Carolina 7–6
2019 South Carolina 4–8
South Carolina: 26–25 15–17 SEC
