There have been 8 college football playoffs. Alabama has participated in 7 of them. They have participated in 6 of 8 NC games...winning 3. They also won 3 of the 5 BCS NC games played before the playoffs came into existence. Like it or not, they are the premiere program in college football.

LSU made MUCH more sense for a TE. First, the OC and HC have clearly shown a desire to significantly utilize TEs in the offense. Second, LSU doesn't have a starting TE locked in right now. Third, LSU's OC is the same OC to whom you committed just a few months ago. All logic suggested LSU is the place.

But then the pretties girl in the class suddenly started showing you interest. It may not be genuine. It may be fleeting. You know the other girl may be the better choice. But when the prettiest girl in the class wants to give you a shot with her it may be too tempting to turn down.

I'd bet money his position is changed. Saban may put him on the line.

If that's true he took chump change compared to what he could have possibly made if he started producing year one at LSU.

Matt Moscona reported the amount offered, $25,000/year.

Good point, all this stuff about coaching and NFL TE's and what not is unlikely to go through his head. $25G hard cash vs no cash is not hard to figure out.

LSU ignored him for 98% of his recruitment

That’s on Ed O.

He was committed to LSU’s new offensive coordinator. LSU was on him before Bama.

Bama only took him to screw with LSU. I don’t understand how they always have spots open to just screw around with.

If you grow up in Louisiana a fan of LSU, and then you pick Alabama there's something wrong with you and you have zero passion.. unless you were never that big a fan of anyone (but that's also weird because you play football) The only reason I can think of is separate family members from different states .

He made a dumb decision unless he’s getting a lot of money. They have so many TE’s. He’s either going to move up the chart quickly or he will enter the portal very quickly. I see him as a portal player
