There are 2 RB commits already. If you take 2 more, one of those guys goes. I think 3 should be the limit this time (Too many good prospects next year). Now if one of the commits does not sign early, then go after Joiner and Pooka. Basically, I think you are saying that you are not happy with the two current RB commits.
There are plenty of big linemen commits. Oeaux may just have to persuade some of them to play OL.
I also believe that at least a couple of the current commits do not make it. Considering that LSU could not use "4 wide" set due to a lack of WR, this class should have 4.
Long term, I think you should have:
Offense: OL 4, WR 3, RB 2, QB 1, TE 1 : 11
Defense: DL 3, Rush 1, LB 3, DB 4 : 11
Special Teams: 1 (snapper, punter, or kicker)
Wildcard: 2 (back fill attrition or needs)
My projection for this year:
OL: 4, WR: 4, RB: 3, QB:1, TE: 1
DL/OL: 2
DL: 3, OLB: 2, ILB: 2, DB: 3
I see 2 extra big guys, 1 extra WR, 1 extra RB and no special teams.
Target Roster ( 85 Limit )
OL: 15, TE: 5, WR: 12, RB: 6, QB: 4 : 42
DL: 11, LB: 12, DB: 15 : 38
ST: 5 : 5
Total : 85

Sounds like wishful thinking to me, kinda like people wishing LSU ends up with a QB in those class.

This is the list with possible exception of Cook. If Cook picks Texas it will be either Watkins or Beal. Of course it's a long way until the first Wednesday in February and things can change but this is what it looks like now.
I think you'll see 15 or 16 sign in the early signing period. Not everyone currently committed will sign early which will leave room for possible changes.
