Look at Kentucky they consistently have a good offensive line.

Shouldn't they be getting reps so when the seniors or draft eligible leave,your not starting inexpierenced.

Disagree. Their are only 3 playing, not on practice squads, from last years team and zero were 5 stars

Hines- really disappointed here. See a distinct lack of progress with technique and still blows too many, less- but too many, assignments (the best I can tell; you never really know for sure). He should be further along.
Wire- damn right he's come a ways. AU ate his lunch alot, but he has come along nicely.
Rosenthal- so mad at him. It's 99.8% on Dare. His head, heart, and feet are all in the wrong place. He doesn't get an offseason to turn the ship around. Now that he's back he has to make great strides before the end of the season or just transfer.
Bradford- starting to get playing time. Weight put him behind. I see some progress, but not enough.
Kardell- can't make up my mind if it's injury or lack of effort. He's got over the offseason to get there or get passed.
Hill- coming along very nicely. He's going to be one of Cregg's resume highlights along with Cush and Lewis.
Shanahan- calling good games and snaps have been very good (short of excellent). Average on the blocking but he uses technique very well. Just doesn't have quite enough mass and strength. I'm impressed with his integration into our offense, but as far as "coachable"... c'mon... it couldn't be any easier for Cregg.
Dumervill- We'll see. From the very little have seen he looks just like we expected. Somewhat ahead of your average frosh OT. But not enough "data" and still a ways to go.
Ingram- came in better than Charles at OG, improves every game. Can't credit Cregg with this one, Ingram is just beast.
Deculus- I'm still shocked at how little this board thinks of him AND how far he has come. Cregg has done alot, and so has Austin- the two combined made a pretty good OT. If you watch Deculus' technique and movement from the little playing time he got at the end of 2018, his first 2 or 3 games of 2019 to now his development is obvious.
Turner- meh... this is the recruiting board. I'll keep my opinions to myself on this one.
Perry- he's one to watch. This is the "project". If Cregg gets him going well then you should take notice. It won't be this year. Probably not next... but this is one of those you can judge Cregg by. There's enough potential, but alot of work to be done.

It’s true that Joe and Clyde flipped plenty of potential negative plays into big ones. It’s also true that we had a great o-line group that developed and played really really well against our toughest opponents. You do not go 15-0 without great offensive line play. Not with the schedule we played.

It's insane the denial i see on this board about the state of our offensive line recruiting. If you're taking 3 OL per season, you basically have to hit on 100% of them or else you're going to be starting freshmen the moment someone gets injured. And we all know that we're not going to hit at 100%. Bringing in 1-2 OL this year after only 3 HS players in the 2020 class is how you wind up like Florida State.
If we do wind up landing Leigh then we *might* be able to paper over our depth issues purely due to talent level, but even if we had straight blue-chippers all the way down the line that'd be counting on a super high hit rate.

Numbers, numbers, numbers, you should sign 4-5 OL every year. IF you sign 4, that is over 5 years (with a few guys who are 3 star project guys) 20 total. You need that many to have about 15 minimum on your roster on scholarship each year, 3 deep with 8 guys that are legit guys that can play at SEC level. If you sign 5 guys a year (4 star and up) then over 4 years you still have the 20 total to get the 15 minimum and 8 that can play SEC level. Signing that type talent means guys are going to leaving for the NFL by 4 years (want play 5th year even if Redshirted).
D. Lewis and Cush are both doing well in the NFL, that is they were starting for LSU last year and are starting in the NFL this year. Ingram off this team will play in the NFL and if Dare R can keep his off the field troubles in check and play a full year next year, he will play in the NFL.
