No telling who we may get after all this going down...I like it !

The only issue, we have only two scholarships remaining after Smart and Reid accounted for and are in the lead for Darius Days and Josh LeBlanc and likely lead for Kaden Archie. Not to mention we are still going after Emmitt Williams.
With plans of taking in five, we already need some attrition next year if we get Days, LeBlanc and Archie

Wade will make room if he thinks it's worth it

Let's just kind of see how this all shakes out. I'm not saying Wade or his staff are involved in any sort of nefarious behavior, but this thing is going to go well beyond the coaches/schools/players discussed yesterday. Quite simply, this is just the ugly "normal way of doing business" finally coming to light.
Every power conf. coach is involved with the AAU system to some degree. They HAVE to be if they want to recruit top talent. The AAU system virtually exist on corruption. If nothing else, it's going to change college basketball recruiting. Every coach, school, AD, if just hoping the spotlight doesn't turn on them.

And you also have to wonder if these players that are de-committing were any way involved as well, which would kill their eligibility

I think there are going to be quite a few prospects that won't see a college basketball court due to all of this.

and now Nike is getting subpoenaed, which would be the EYBL and pretty much every top recruit

I said yesterday that I think something will happen to fill the gap of no place for these guys to play for a year. Either the G League will allow them in or some new league will pop up somewhere for a year or so for these guys to play ahead of the draft.
I have no idea how it would happen, but if all these top prospects are suddenly ineligible, and the NBA is left to draft a bunch of players that haven't played in a year, they're going to do something.

Yes- it's going to be interesting. I always felt the one and done was stupid anyways.

They’ll all be playing in the WWE-style Lavar Ball league soon.

so do we have anything to worry about? i mean we do have some big fish on our reel, and we haven't exactly been very good in MBB as of late, so they do sorta stick out that they committed here....
guess we'll find out soon enough, right?

As soon as I saw all the news breaking yesterday, and even before anyone had been fired, resigned, or recruits decommitted I thought to myself: "Will Wade is somehow, someway going to get another stud player out of this fiasco." Here's to hoping that comes true!
That dude is so on top of things he probably has push notifications about when a player decommits somewhere.

Is no one else worried about the fact that Wade was able to pull a bunch of top recruits to a dead program out of no where.

Nope! Not worried at all. Not in the least. Glad we finally got a dude that does what it takes to be competitive. If something did happen- what did we lose? Went from bottom dweller back to bottom dweller?

exactly
Problem with LSU sports in general is our compliance office. We simply don't cheat on the same level as the top tier.

LSU has gotten ELITE players regularly over the years, this is not something new. I tell everybody except for maybe unc & ucla, I would put our all time hoops team up against ANYBODY!!

AAU, EYBL, Nike and Adidas "Shoe" Teams may be going down and blowing up.
Been hearing "Rumors" for years about coaches getting $ to place kids and players getting $

He pulled a kid from Baton Rouge and another kid whose girlfriend is committed to LSU.
And I don't know if you've heard him speak, but he jacks you the frick up. I can see why these JUCO and grad transfers like the idea of coming in and starting for a guy like that right away.
LSU is a sleeping giant in basketball. There is absolutely no reason we can't have a program like a Florida.
ETA:
If we get the top 3-5 players in Louisiana each year, we'd live in the top 25. Go back each year and look at the talent we've lost from in state.
