looks like he went 2-0 w/ 1.06 ERA as a freshman pitching 34 innings with 48 S/O and 10 BB

Apparently had spine surgery in April of this year but it is progressing well.

It’s so refreshing seeing this level of dominance in recruiting. Skenes up next

I don't keep up with baseball recruiting heavily but the staff is definitely killing it at an elite level

Our transfer pickups have been so good that hopefully that positive influence carries over to the incoming recruiting class as well.

Anything less than Omaha next year is disappointing for LSU and it's quickly getting close to anything but championship is disappointing for LSU.

Don't set yourself up like that

Why? LSU's roster is setting up to be the best in the country overall and that's not including who they get incoming on the #1 recruiting class. They're already loaded with starters who have high pick potential or guaranteed high pick. They may not have a weakness on the team by the time they're done. If you can't get to Omaha with what LSU has you're in trouble.

Don't forget LSU has a generational player in Crews and they're taking advantage of it now.

Yeah, and a pitching coach who should help them reach their potential. I don't think it's crazy to have Omaha expectations for this year and saying anything less is disappointing. Nobody in the SEC is looking like they'll be more talented than LSU next year.

We’d all love Omaha, but it isn’t just talent, it’s also luck. Look at Tennessee

Skenes would allow us to DH for Milazzo when he pitches.

Still have to make sure Tebrake actually makes it to campus. He's an older guy who might want to take his shot at professional baseball if he's drafted in the middle rounds. Just never know.

Yes but on paper it's still disappointing if you can't get to Omaha with that kind of backing on talent. That's shitting the bed plain and simple. This isn't a rebuild 3-4 years thing after PM. It's built to win championship NOW with the talent JJ has coming in and on the roster. Sorry, but you need to have expectations for Omaha at some point. We're not a doormat baseball program if the talent is there, expectations should be high.
