The depth at Georgia isn't any better... and certainly "not in his best interest" either. There are 5 backs ahead of him there with their starter only a junior. All the backs behind him are super highly rated.

They also have a 5* DL and three 4* DL. Have you glanced at their 2019 class? 5* DL, 5* OL, four 4* OL, seven 4* DL.
Bama's 2019 class had eight 4-5* DL. O's 2017, 2018 and 2019 classes combined had eight 4* DL. Bama's 2019 class had five 4-5* OL. O's 2017, 2018 and 2019 classes combined had seven 4* OL.
Bama is taking 4* and some 3* for depth. Let's not act as if they aren't absolutely crushing LSU in terms of D and O line recruiting.

I honestly didn't even know this needed to be stated.
Then again, I honestly don't know why Alabama needed to be brought up in a thread dealing with a Louisiana native considering the University of Georgia.

I'm a troll because I don't shove my head in the sand and blindly parrot that "we're going to have a top tier class this year and all of the top-rated guys who don't come we didn't want anyway!" There are a lot of concerns right now with LSU's recruiting, specifically on the lines. Bama is hauling in talent hand over fist and LSU is feasting on three stars and the occasional four. After being told that we needed more talent on the lines (directly by the head coach following yet another shutout loss to Bama) I don't see how the current status quo is a net positive, especially when top in-state talent at those positions of need are either gone or poised to go to other SEC schools. But it's cool, downvote away and let's check back in on signing day when we get some more three stars, but it will be cool since they really wanted to be Tigers.

i agree... i don't think he's anti-LSU, and i say that as someone who's gotten into it a little with him...
i do think he's OVERLY pessimistic, to a fault, denigrating players based on star ratings before they ever even have a chance to prove their ACTUAL worth, but whatever... some people do that...
but i do think he's a true blue LSU fan, just like pretty much everyone else here, he just chooses to voice it differently than most... he's a realist, as am i, but he's just a little more pessimistic than i choose to be... it's all good....

pretty much.
Some people will tell themselves its okay that Van Pran has gotten CB'd to UGA and say "we comin". and some people will wonder how the only in-state blue chip OL wasn't prioritized several years ago as a top target.
