I am thinking that the recent ban on in person visits may help LSU here. It essentially closes down his recruitment except for LSU and OK. Considering the multiple times he has come to Baton Rouge ON HIS OWN DIME, I am feeling pretty good right now.

Worth noting that it hasn't really stopped all visits; it damn sure doesn't rule any out by Leigh.

He's visited OU and LSU, during the never-ending-extension of the dead period. He has the means and the loopholes exist.

I only mention that because I think he's determined to visit tOSU before committing anywhere.

This is not to detract from the fact that he's visited us multiple times AND described one visit as "perfect". We have a decent to solid lead.

BUT, at least, at a minimum, he's going to try to get that visit with Studwra and tOSU in. There's tripwires that could cause that to not happen. But as it stands now dead period extension be damned he's going to try.

And I fully expect him to commit on his 5th visit to us. That's what to be on lookout for.

Let's just assume everything below is rumor only, and also assume I or anyone else is guessing and don't really know shite (in TD vernacular), let's assume that and plausible deniability...

A) I'm sure it has been discussed often. Our staff knows that a visit probably ends it.

B) there's a reason for the visits above and beyond your average recruit. Mom's is probably moving with him and is combining future job "research" with his visits.

C) Let's assume that Mom gets that new job and finds a new place to live on that final visit.

D) Let's assume that LSU is helping her with both a new residence and some "advice" on the best places to work and that last visit will happen when it all gets lined up.

Want to know when Leigh is about to commit? See if Mom is buying boxes from the local U-Haul store in VA.

I’m with you ReverendJeffro, I feel pretty good about where LSU stands also.

And, you may be right about the dead period helping LSU. However, TL has been pretty determined to make as many visits (unofficial) as possible, but it’s worth noting that he missed the recruit-led visit to the OSU (Buckeye-Bash) and his quote on making up the visit in Wiltfong’s latest article was as follows:

“If another chance approaches I’ll definitely try and get out there.”

Don’t know about you, but doesn’t sound that convincing to me. This is why I have eliminated Ohio State and have it down to LSU & OU.

I20goon, I echo your note that the dead period hasn’t deterred TL from making unofficial visits to his finalists.

And prior to him missing the Buckeye Bash in late October, I would have also echoed your comment about TL seeming determined to visit OSU again (per Wiltfong’s latest article he visited twice last year).

However, as I pointed out in my response to ReverendJeffro above, TL’s response about making up the OSU visit came off as less than convincing. He was quoted as saying, “If another chance approaches I’ll definitely try and get out there.”

In addition to his quote, I feel that OSU having its game with Maryland canceled and the Big 10’s rigorously strict COVID protocols may deter/prevent one last visit to Columbus. Plus, COVID cases have been on the rise nationwide from what I’ve gathered from the media.

All that said, looks like we’ll just have to wait and see if TL makes another visit to Ohio or anywhere else. And finally, a fifth (5th) visit to BR would be the equivalent to a commitment for me, as I can’t think of another reason they would do that except for relocation arrangements such as housing, HS enrollment for younger brother, etc.

LINK Sam Sp on Rivals just changed future cast pick from LSU to Sooners. In the past he was accused of being a sunshine pumper.

Foreman, Maason, Leigh, Nabers, Goodwin, and Makaneole and probably Byrd.

Leigh is the one that I think is 50/50 but we need Leigh bad.

Sure has been a lot of OU smoke lately..
