Top WR's Must Have Liked what They Saw From LSU First Game

Recruits who want to develop their game and get touches in the new Canada offense had to like what they saw last night.
For the first time in a long time, LSU is short on great WR's and has an offense that will get them the ball so they can show their athleticism ...

While recruits are probably enamored with Canada's potential of developing them, last night wasn't the game to wow them.
When we start throwing more LSU will be a prime target for elite WR's.

Maybe he's trying for 100 downvotes

I would guess the game was encouraging but it was still only 173 yards passing. All the touches Dillon, Chark, Gage etc. got certainly had to be intriguing, but when we have games in which we throw 25-30 times...those results will be the real attention grabbers for recruits

Harold joiner should have liked what he saw

I was going to start a thread earlier, does Terrnace Marshall fit our scheme? Is he seriously considering coming and running all those sweeps, is he that type of receiver?
I'll hang up and listen.

I hope JaMarr Chase watched LSU after the Florida game

No way Chase goes to that dumpster fire in Gainesville right? The kid is smart, I can't see him going there with the trajectory of each team being far apart at this time. He wants to play and play early LSU is the place for him.
To the guy asking if Marshall will want to come catch 60 and 70 yard TD passes, and answer is yes. What WR doesn't want to come to a school who runs the football like LSU, so he can exploit other teams with ease. Easy answer there.
Marshall, Chase, Keys, Jason would be a crazy haul but I'm not sure LSU can sign all those guys. Which is a good thing. LSU should have their pick at WR in the coming years. Hopefully, OL, QB, and DL as well. If these recruits can't see the vast improvement from top to bottom then we probably don't need them. This team has just gotten started.

You're not going to see anything from a passing standpoint until the Moo State game. So relax.

Yeah you know Canada like the back of your hand. I'm relaxed. Finally got rid of the cancer that was Miles and can finally watch some football. Just excited to see it. If you aren't I really could care less. This team looks far superior than anything I've seen for some time.
You have no idea what LSU is going to do next week. None at all. I'll bet your wrong though. I bet O tells him to sling it this week. No chance that team comes close to LSU and we now know what we have. I'll bet money they take risks next week and blow the score board up.

You serious?? Lol I was hoping they didn't watch this game because it could have scared them away for real. I hope Terrace Marshall was busy last night.

I mean, I don't think it's the first game the staff is going to point to when recruiting wide receivers, but I think it was a pretty good performance.
Touches
Chark 6/88
Gage 5/60
I mean, these are pretty much on par with what Alabama, FSU and Texas A&M's top receivers did. Texas game was a track meet and a pretty embarrassing performance, but their top two receivers did put up big numbers.
Add to that the fact that we thoroughly dominated our opponent and basically took what they gave us by playing 6 men in the box most of the night. I think it was a pretty nice night for the tigers.

This. And I'd be willing to bet Canada "takes what he can get" in this game, too- as long as we are having our way with the Moo St defense. You don't have to "know Canada" to know he's going to try to keep things as simple and vanilla as possible for as LONG as possible until we get to the meat of our schedule and/or he HAS to open things up (UF, Bama, AU, etc.)

Seriously? We're playing Chattanooga. Like LesnarF5 said.. Relax.. Let that sink in for a second. We are playing CHATTANOOGA. I'll bet we won't even have to use the 10% of the play call sheet that was used against BYU, and we'll STILL beat them handily. There's no need to show more than you have to show until you get to the big games.
I'm not saying we won't throw it downfield, or even throw it a few more times than we did Saturday. But I wouldn't count on any significant change against Chattanooga, IF there's even a change at all.
