Tim Williams

I am currently watching highlights from the UA All-American practice and saw some 1v1's with many LSU commits. I saw Tim Williams and was really impressed. Only weighs 230 but reminded me alot of Mingo. Comes off of the end fast and could bulk up in college and could be something great. Now i did see alot of post about how we stopped recruiting him. Why is that? Why wouldnt we want him?

For some time he and LSU have moved on. Nothing has changed for now.

Sometimes players just like mention the top schools even though there is no interest at this time. He is favouring going out of state and LSU had backed off… Additionally there is no room for him right now unless some higher priorities don’t come through…….

Every expert on here jumped my arse in September when, after watching TW play, I said he takes plays off. I was negative, bitter and a hater, they said.
Funny how one of his drawbacks 4 months later is that he takes plays off/motivation. I'd rather get TW to LSU than gloat, however; kid is very talented.

I've watched every game of his HS career, and you just penned the most accurate description anyone on here or any of the paid sites have ever written. If a college coach can teach him some technique and motivate him to go all out on every play, he could easily be Mingo/Montgomery good. Anyone that says we wouldn't want this kid is full of crap. He has the chance to be special, and I'll repeat for the umpteenth time-if he was a problem in the locker room, why would his coaches and teammates have elected him the permanent team captain for the playoffs this season?

Reports are he is doing very well at the Under Armour practices….
Have not heard what is going on with him except that he wants to leave Louisiana and LSU backed off. Have not heard why and there currently is not any room.

I've also said since he really burst on the scene a couple of years ago, he didn't grow up an LSU fan like most of the kids in his school did. Therefore, his recruiting was a lot more wide open than it would be with the typical U-High kid. He might yet decide LSU is the best place for him with his personal situation, and if he does, I'm guessing LSU will find him a spot.

One might understand his motivational challenges when he could just overpower many of the offensive linemen he faced in HS. If anyone watched that kid lay it all on the line in the state semifinal game against Evangel on an ankle he badly rolled on the second play of the game, they might not question his heart/willingness to go all out.

I saw him only once. Seemed like he could've made every tackle if he wanted to. Maybe he didn't want to be like a basketball ball hog, and actually was just being a good teammate by letting others get some chances to shine? This particular game, U-High wasn't challenged. I did watch some of the Evangel game and he could barely make it to the sidelines... After a sack or pressure.

If for some reason at the 11th hour he calls LSU and wants in, our coaching staff will regret it if they don't take him. He has a ceiling that is above any other pass rusher in this class/state. Whoever dreamed up "off the field" issues is full of shite. And my son who would be defined as a high motor kid took plays off against EA too, we were up by about 40 in the 1st half.

That's a Tigerbait thing. I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere. Mike S and his cronies at Tigerbait will shock me the next time they have accurate "inside" information because it would also be the first time.

You think MS would be making enough money from that site he could actually become a TAF member and at least get some scraps.

Lol, yeah, my kid took quite a few off, which probably partially explains the big lead. It also was 900 degrees. Frustrating that we play a 5-A Semifinalist at their place, lose by one, end up at Dutchtown's 5 yd line down six, same thing with Denham, but showed up at Boss looking like a Class C School. Y'all at least deserved some competition that Sunday!

Three days ago he told the writers on Florida State's 247 site that LSU had wavered on him at one time but he recently contacted the LSU coaches and told them he is not an FSU lock. He said LSU told him he will "always have a home there.”

Could just be setting up announcement drama but you never know.
