Coach Eaux has absolutely has created a national LSU brand......and the Louisiana players better start paying attention to the process! Talent will trump the state from here on out.....
Louisiana has great players, and always will, but as a national power, LSU has so many other options.

"Louisiana" LSU RECRUITS SINCE 2010:
2010 - 13
2011 - 16
2012 - 15
2013 - 13
2014 - 13
2015 - 13
2016 - 18
2017 - 9
2018 - 13
2019 - 9
2020 - 6
2021 - 1 so far

No it won't. We will always prioritize Louisiana first. That's never gonna change.

There's a certain toughness to Louisiana kids that LSU will always prioritize.

I agree with smjabry, the Louisiana athlete does not ride the pine. Many players choose other schools because of the competition at LSU.

I hope the top Louisiana players get the message and start committing early if they really want to sign with LSU. They can't string it out anymore and count on us holding a spot for them. Commit early, be a leader, and help recruit a top 3 class every year should be our message to the in state guys. That would build a dynasty.

Thanks Drizzt.....that's my point, I would love to sign as many LA players as possible, but if they wait too long, there spot will be taken by really good national level talent....this is what happens when you are on top!
I also agree that Louisiana players do carry a toughness and football savvy that is recognized across the country. Most schools jump at a chance to sign a 3* from LA!
It's all good....

Fair post. In the RECENT past we would not target or have nearly as many 4–5 * out of staters who would consider and sign with us. The O and LSU brand is far and wide more than ever.

Don’t forget it wasn’t the LA kids bailing on us on signing day last year.

It’s great we can go out and get OOS kids but you don’t forget what got you there. A lot of Louisiana kids.

I would not call 6 commitments fromstate of Louisiana in 2020 " prioritizing Louisiana first" as you say. From the 24 people that LSU got on scholly for 2020 new comers and only 6 from Louisiana, I would call that getting best athletes available around the country cherry picking. : )

any wonder as to why we have won a natty and have elevated the program back to elite status??? Its because of this right here, recruiting nationally and not just taking LA players in huge numbers year after year... the future is really bright.

Amazing how anyone still believes their thoughts on hiring O was the wrong way to go...just live with the fact you were all just so damn wrong
