The drama, the triumph, the heartbreak, the BAYOU BASH! We had it good boys...
NSD, you are missed!

I like the Early Signing Period, it decreases the amount of drama that can happen dragging these decisions out.

Every year, I would use PTO to have this day off.
It was like the HS-to-college version of the Draft, but better cuz the rich (champs) could get richer (5-stars).
Now, the Early Signing period has more entertainment value because of the quantity of signings, but it's always an incomplete event with some quality hold-out signatures waiting until today.

I miss the thrill of National Signing Day. Several times, I took the day off work and either attended the Bayou Bash or watched intently on television.
However, many things change with the passage of time. Having the December early signing period has its advantages, though I wonder if many coaches don't still prefer the main signing day to still be the first Wednesday of February.

Bayou Bash was GOAT. I still have a few shirts.

I miss the old Bayou Bash days.
I am not going to give it a blanket title as the best day of the year because I spent too much time on certain signing days being pissed off.

Yeah, it used to be exiciting, but then, at the same time, we knew the class except for maybe 1 or 2 surprises on NSD.
I just look at the advantage of the new early signing period- except for a few prima donnas, you pretty much have your class locked up early. You can then decide exactly how many of the other 5 or so players you target are really needed as opposed to just addressing the need through the portal. The whole early signing day takes away the 'look at me' attitude of a lot of recruits, because now, if they decide to hold off, their real school of choice may be full and they are stuck taking an offer likely at a 3rd choice, as opposed to maybe their 1st or 2nd choice school...

That’s right, me and the boys used to go get laced on a work day.
