This is absolutely the perfect recruiting staff for LSU

Our coaches have legit and proven connections to each and every geographical area that is important to our recruiting foot print.
East Texas - Peveto
South Florida - Raymond
Florida Panhandle and Mobile - D Craig
NOLA and River Parishes - Juluke
North La - Peveto and Orgeron locked it up last year
Grimes and Orgeron can go national, which is important and needed for their position groups, especially the OL where Louisiana frequently lacks numbers.
Miles and Aranda can close.
I was nervous about how the 2017 class was going to shape up, because we absolutely need to keep the recruiting train rolling; 2017 is relatively weak in-state, and is where last season's fiasco could potentially hurt us, having already lost commits from Moses and Stevens. Now, I have no doubt we will recruit at an elite level this year and continue to build a talent laden roster that is second to none.
Hats off to Les for making all the right moves in assembling this staff. If he is as focused in correcting our on the field deficiencies this season as he has been in correcting some off the field weaknesses, we are primed.

Don't forget about Eisenmenger in North LA. He's done a solid job with some key prospects.

So what's CCC gonna do?

He has one job...and that's not to Frick everything up.

Lol. Unleash the beasts so to speak. I like it, and I'm good with it. Let's add at least recruiting the qbs when the all star staff puts the qb on the silver platter.

not sure if being funny but I laughed

yeah I'll be happy if Cameron just focuses on fixing the offense. His "territory" is Baton Rouge and obviously his primary job is to recruit QBs nationwide. Lucky for him there's a very good one in our backyard this year.
I forgot to give ole Steve Ensminger any props. He's solid in Texas and North La.

I won't be. He needs to be recruiting kids too if he keeps taking 1.5.
I don't want another Chavis on staff. There is no room for a weak link in recruiting anymore for Les Miles. He needs the best recruiter/coaches that he can find.
He allowed too many buddies to hang around the program for too long and it has cost us players and w's.
I'm glad he's making positive changes this offseason and I hope it continues.

True but let's be honest, Cam Cameron isn't here to recruit and doesn't have near the recruiting chops and credentials as the other aces on staff. The best way to earn that salary (which is undeserved at this point, inarguably) is to construct an offense that is capable of winning a national championship.

Quick story about Ensminger and N. LA, I live in Shreveport, I know he gets some grief here but 3 years ago before ANYBODY knew Devin White, I was taking the N. Webster head coach thru his new rv, showing him how to use everything (he's kindof a dick), his phone rings, I look at it, it says Ensminger on it, he answers, talks about some kids track meet times, how he's doing, etc.... They hang up, I say "lsu coach Ensminger calling you" he says yep I ask about who, he says Devin White, everybody in the country will know him one day, he's only a FR now but he's a bad bad man... This isn't second hand info, Ensminger was building a relationship with Devin years ago before ANYBODY knew him

Ensminger is also responsible for Mae Tehuma. He doesn't get as much press as Raymond and company, but I can assure you, Ensminger is doing his job!

just being realistic but we have to greatly improve our LB recruiting. we just are not getting enough top guys and have not several years. LB's are just as critical as DL and DB's.
i'm excited about DC because I think he can help CC a lot with QB development and the spread offense.

The 1.5 is overpriced unless he is getting QBs draft in round 1 every couple of years and putting up 50 - that isn't happening.
As we have seen, there are very few top flight QBs each year. If you want one to come to LSU, they need to hear from you early on - like SO and JR years. Coming in SR isn't going to cut it.
In addition, you better be recruiting multiple prospects.

Agreed

We have a great staff for damn sure

Why would you laugh? It's true. He's done a very good job recruiting NLA and parts of Texas.

Will Craig go after Qbs too?
