...he has a crazy-close relationship with Matt McMahon, I'm told, and the word was he was all in on LSU as soon as McMahon got the job.

Which was the same word there was on Juice Hill. And now we have Juice Hill.

Hill and Williams will make up for a lot of attrition off this roster. They're both stupid-good players.

Getting those two guys to go with Coleman, who's a nice replacement for Shareef (not quite as tall, more aggressive on the boards, definitely more offensive game) and Will Richard from Belmont (not quite the player Brandon Murray is but a straight-up sniper from the three point line) really puts you in a decent position to hold serve.

Assuming you can stop the bleeding from there, that is.

Anyway, we're REALLY going to like KJ Williams if what I'm hearing is true.

Richard is a good young player who will be in high demand. But i don’t know if I’d call him a “sniper” from 3 just yet. He shot 33% from three this year. 24% in conference play. His best 3 point shooting game of the season was against LSU, so maybe that skews the perception a bit.

Still, he’s a good offensive player with plenty of room to develop

That's it?

Doesn't sound like a sniper. I didn't watch any belmont this yr.

Will have to check him out.

Richard went through a couple of 3-game shooting slumps last year. One was an 0-12 slump and the other was a 1-17 slump.

That happens to a freshman.

Other than those slumps he was almost a 50 percent 3 point shooter.

He's a sniper. In that league he scared the hell out of the coaches.

Thanks for the info! One thing I won't miss is Wade's overhyping of his shooters.

Who else is he seriously considering?

There are a lot of talented players in the portal.

You do know that shooters sometimes go into slumps, right?

Maybe you don't. Maybe you never actually played and that's why you don't know.

Whatever. Lots of good programs want Richard because they think he's a good shooter. If he comes here he's expected to be a bomber from the 3-point line.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

There is no doubt he is a good offensive player with plenty of room to develop. And, with more experience, he could absolutely become a great 3 point shooter. I just wouldn't bill him as a "sniper" just yet. (Though I would be happy to see him transfer to LSU)

Prolly won't be here but think of the effect on Reid to be practicing with a banger every day.
Strength from being a year older & weight room and learning how to bang some and you've got a soph doing 10 and 7 or 6 over 40 minutes with an All Conference big and another big who will average close to a double/double.
WTF - doesn't hurt to dream...

Of course. I was a 2.

“Snipers” however don’t go 0-12 or 1-17. Maybe the odd 1-6 or 2-8 type game. That said I’d totally take him. He’s coming from a good system too.
