Spiegelman updated and said broken fibula, out 6-8 weeks. Had surgery around 3 this morning. Everything went well. (Pic from Spiegelman of injury below)

Damn. I am sorry he will miss that much of his season. The good news is that he can get healthy in time to play the last few games.

Good to hear his surgery went well. Now on to business; O and Canada need to put the full court press on Marshall and Fields. They're injured and teams may back away or slow down on recruitment, this is where LSU needs to show them that we still want them and that they are still a priority, Kwon, Lowell, etc.

Yea.
This is their year. There should be no Cam Akers out there to stop Pearl this year. But you never know. This is the best team they have ever had. Pearl has always been like the Saints. They've always had teams that could have been great, but have fallen short. But, Coach Perry has built them from the ground up to start something special.
I feel terrible for both players. My stomach dropped when I woke up at 2am to read the Pearl Twitter feed and saw Coach Perry tweet to Marshall to wish him a speedy recovery. I rushed here to see what happened, and this board already had the news.
Anyone know why they started that late? Was there another game there before the Parkway game started? I'm guessing the Evangel game?

This an opportunity for Coach O and the staff to show Marshall how much they care and ro stick by him. Same for Justin Rogers.

It is diagnosed as a broken fibula and ankle dislocation. Prayers for speedy recovery.

Possible reasons:
You wrote Fields but you probably meant Rogers
If you meant Fields, then it's because he's not hurt
Could also be that it sounds like you're wanting to use major injuries to some kids as recruiting opportunities
Could be that someone doesn't think we should continue recruiting Rogers given the severity of his injury
Could be that someone just doesn't like you and makes a habit of down voting your posts
Could be that someone didn't mean to down vote you and accidentally fat fingered it
Could be you down voted yourself so you could make another post because you're bored or kinda psycho
That's about all I got right now. I'll let you know if I think of any other possibilities.

I still hope the Tigers land Marshall.
He has shown enough to justify his very high ratings.
It is sad that Marshall cannot enjoy his senior season and can't get a shot at a long playoff run.
