As most predicted this is going to be a battle between the Tigers and Gators for Dumervil's signature. Encouraging all these Florida kids think hes coming to LSU.

I know everyone was saying Roy was just get, which he was but dumervil is an absolute must get.
then thus class would have zero holes.

this has me the most pumped.
when was the last time they got a lt like this

If we kept the commits we have and finished with Dumervil, Johnson and Van Pran I would be pumped.

The Tigers because offensive line tradition, that’s what they do over there,

I guess the recruits are buying what we're selling. I wouldn't say we have a great offensive line tradition.

No? We just inducted one in HOF. Got another 1st ballot in Faneca. Another likely in Whitworth.

But OK.

Have to make the kid and his family an offer they can’t refuse. Can’t continue to plug interior lineman at tackle and expect things to be okay. You want to play with the big boys, you have to get down and dirty with them.

You think Florida does? Besides the Pouncey twins, who have they put in the league?

D.J. Humphries, Trent Brown, Jon Halapio, Marcus Gilbert, Jawaan Taylor

interesting fact though.. Dj, Jon, and Marcus all ended 2018 on IR.. and Trent won the Super Bowl but ended 2017 on IR

Jawaan is a Rookie who slid from a projected top 15 pick to the 2nd round

Mawae was drafted 7 years before Dumervil was born. Faneca (not a first ballot HOF as he's been a finalist 2 years in row and has not gotten in) was drafted 3 years before Dumervil.

These kids are looking at recent success and over the past 10+ years we haven't had great success putting OL into the league in respect to other position groups.

I wouldn’t call that group a strong tradition on the OL. That’s an average group at best. My point was we aren’t exactly recruiting against OL powerhouses like Wisconsin, Michigan or Ohio state for him.
