What position does he play?

it may just be me, but i think this guy ends up as our #1 RB. impressed with his size and running style.

He'll redshirt IMO next season in football so that means he'll be able to play some baseball in 2011...wonder if Miles will let him skip Spring practice to play baseball or not.

I think Ware and Gore will surprise a lot of folks. Ware really looks good though.

He will likely get a chance to walk on to the baseball team, but as of right now, they aren't counting on him for baseball. He plays several different positions for his baseball team, including middle infield.

I think if he were to play baseball he would just be a role player. We have a lot of talent LSU, he's pretty good at baseball but from what I understand isn't a draftable prospect out of high school. If so, very late rounds.
There is a huge difference in (baseball) talent between Ware and Zach Lee.

definitely, but they have nothing to lose by letting him try out. if he turns out to be better than whoever else is trying out (or any guys on scholly) then they basically get another free scholarship player.
I think it helps with him and Marcus Davis that they play HS ball together. It means Ware is less likely to decommit from the football team, and Davis is less likely to go pro if drafted well enough next summer.

I'm pretty sure he meant that it still uses a Football scholarship.

Don't know if he's quite that good to play college baseball but we shall see.

I think what you are referring to is that if a guy comes to LSU to play baseball on scholarship he can't also play football without taking up a football scholarship. I think this is so schools don't circumvent the 25 scholarship's per year rule.
