Its not just this board, it’s other pay sites. It’s hard to shake it when so many discouraging things have happened in the recruiting-sphere that leave you scarred.

But when you follow recruiting it’s easy to read the tea leaves like with sopsher last year.

The U-High is on campus so we should get everyone we want from them narrative needs to go. Yes LSU should get most of them just like they should for the rest of the state but outside of easy access to his coaches what is the benefit of him being on campus? Still can’t talk to them anymore than any other coach out there.

In fact, I would think the fact that they are so close would hurt LSU more than it helps because they may want a change of scenery.

I don't understand this attitude. The vast majority of athletes stick to their commitments so how can you say it's not important? I know I'd much prefer he commit to us than to Alabama.

Two things:
They don't understand recruiting
They love being pessimistic for the sake of it

You're right in saying an overwhelming majority of guys stick to their commitments, especially as we get closer to football season. You usually see decommitments in the spring and summer, but by the time football season rolls around, most of the guys remaining end up sticking.

100%

He’s not wrong, but it just doesn’t need to be repeated in every thread like this

Agree. Happens every time. Like anyone on a recruiting board doesn't already know some kids change their mind. Confidence is high we keep this kid, though!

If Roy commits to LSU like he is rumored to be, it would be very surprising for him to switch to Bama or any other school at the last minute. He's throwing a commitment party in town and will have a lot of people there and asked anyone who wanted to come is welcome. He wouldn't commit to LSU 2 times, especially like that, and then back out. Stop being stupid. LSU holds on to way more recruits than we let go at the last minute. Some of yall are just drama queens or like to say dumb shite that you hear other dumbass people say. When he commits to LSU later this month, he will be a tiger for sure. We can bet on it if you'd like? I know you won't though, bc you spout bullshite just to act like you know something others dont.

I'm sure he has to toe the line and waits for the green light before releasing some of his picks.

It’s funny looking at our decommits this year

-Kris Abrams-Draine= upgraded
-Darin Tuner= upgraded
-Courtland Ford= mutual
-Jaden Navarrette= tough loss at time but eh
-McKinnley =early commit and fell off a tad
-Jaquelin Roy= tough loss but We’re getting him back

The only decommit that really was a tough loss we’re gonna get back I think y’all a little too nervous about decommits

LSU will close better this year.

Woodward effect bigger than most know.

Perhaps. But I still think how LSU does this season will be the most important factor. Do the OOS WR's stick if the passing game looks like the passing game we've known and "loved" for the better part of a decade? If the OL stinks, does that bring about a coaching change...leading to a loss of commitments there?

Unlike most other years, this year's class appears to be heavy with out of state kids. That natural/family tie to "home" isn't there to keep them around even if there is some doubt about the program.

Conversely, if LSU does perform at a true championship contender level then Ed will no longer have to sell "hope". He will be able to (a) establish himself as being here for the foreseeable future and (b) give kids evidence as to why they need to be at LSU.

Lot of CBs for Roy to LSU. Alabama also recently got a 4* DT Timothy Smith from Florida. He seems to be more of a NT at 6'4 340... maybe that sways Guillory to the good guys.

Maybe Guillory to the good guys is why Bama took Smith...

Me thinks bama knows they are losing Guillory and Roy to us which is why they will put the full court press on Taylor.
